I couldn't care less about Brexit (one way or the other) and I say that as someone who lives in NI.
You don't "train" a baby - you train a dog. Leaving a baby to cry itself to sleep is cruel.
I iron our clothes - I didn't have children for them to leave the house each morning looking like a character from Annie.
I don't like second hand stuff.
I didn't have children to treat them as my personal maids - they can cook, use the washing machine, etc but they aren't made to do it on a regular basis. They will not be kicked out of the house when they turn 18.
I don't believe all the people on here who supposedly have children at Oxford and Cambridge - the numbers just seem slightly out of proportion. Life will not grind to a halt if your child dares to set foot inside a different university.
I don't think IVF should ever be funded by the NHS - cancer treatment is a medical need, a baby is not. You can't always get what you want.
People who wash their towels weekly or less are disgusting - you are not just drying a clean body after a shower, you are also removing dead skin cells - where do you think they go?
Blended families happen too quickly and that's why the majority of them are horrendous - because the adults put themselves first, not the kids, regardless of whether they say otherwise.
If you have children you are not the centre of the universe anymore - your child is/should be and it won't make them into a brat either.
Stockpiling food for Brexit is, quite frankly, the early signs of mental illness. We will survive without luxury XYZ from France.
You should be thankful that people are interested enough in you that they want to visit you when you have a baby instead of acting like an anti-social nut job. Life will not come to a grinding halt if you have to move from the sofa.
Your MIL is not always the problem - you are. She can't be that awful - she brought up your husband/partner.
