For things that are agreed as gospel on MN

I'll start: I like dressing my kids in matching outfits and I really enjoy a Butlins holiday

I also don't think Nevaeh is that bad

I would rather my son hadn't told me he was gay Sad

Gosh that's sad, why Desmondo?

Ohhellothereladyface · 23/04/2019 19:49

I shouldn’t feel like I need to act apologetically for being a SAHM to my 22 month old, nor should I feel apologetic for still breastfeeding her or my social life revolving around child friendly activities now. Much is made of being mum shamed if you’re working and have an au pair etc, enjoy regular nights out, if you choose to bottle feed, and I wholeheartedly agree that’s wrong, but less is heard about how much people like to sneer at mums who don’t go on about how much they’re gagging for a night out/practice extended breastfeeding/choose to have a career break,

MissConductUS · 23/04/2019 19:51

Unless it leads to widespread suffering, I really can't get worked up about brexit.

watsmyname · 23/04/2019 19:55

@PanBasher you see more flesh from normally dressed people than you would from me feeding. Also yes they may flop these days but that's for my husbands eyes only (or children as they usually join me in the shower 🙄)

Leafyhouse · 23/04/2019 19:57

This obsession with enforcing speed limits is totally disproportionate. Smacks of politicians needing to be seen to be 'doing something' rather than actual science.

PanBasher · 23/04/2019 19:59

Maybe @watsmyname, but not normally with a gob clamped to them....unless you're into visiting shall we say, seedy places.

KissingInTheRain · 23/04/2019 20:00

Unless it leads to widespread suffering, I really can't get worked up about brexit.

I think the voice of the true majority has spoken.

I voted remain - and would do again - but I can’t join in with this biblical wailing, gnashing of teeth and rending of garments over Brexit.

Whisky2014 · 23/04/2019 20:01

Oh oh oh the "it's a limit not a target" re. Speed is a load of shit and is generally said by non confident drivers who probably need more driving lessons and probably never drive on a dual carriageway or motorway.

AlaskanOilBaron · 23/04/2019 20:01

I love it when people call me Mrs. Baron. I was delighted to take my husband's name and still find it amusing to be a Mrs, nearly 20 years later.

I judge people who serve their children white bread.

bibbitybobbityyhat · 23/04/2019 20:01

Woman = adult human female and nobody else.

More than 2 children is too many.

Leather sofas are all awful.

Bleach is disgusting.

LunafortJest · 23/04/2019 20:09

@pasturesgreen "I think Meghan Markle is a narcissistic self-absorbed gold digger who'll last five years tops as Duchess, before getting bored of it all and fucking off back to California with her child(ren) and doing a series of tell-all interviews with Oprah."

Not sure how. She was independently wealthy before she met Harry, she probably has more money than he does. A true narcissistic self-absorbed gold digger is 'waity' Kate Middleton, who waited around until she got the man who will one day be king. Never worked a day in her life, unlike Meghan. Waity to me is a gold-digger, social climber and bludger. Meghan could buy her arse a hundred times over. With money, and work ethic.

Moralitym1n1 · 23/04/2019 20:15

@luna

While I don't disagree with some if your points, bid if not the case that Kate Middleton was quite rich from a trust fund (inherited not earned obviously) herself therefore not strictly a gold digger.

BeautyQueenFromMars · 23/04/2019 20:21

I don't really like chocolate.

David Attenborough has THE DULLEST voice I have ever heard, cannot bear it

VoteJadot · 23/04/2019 20:31

Farmed fur is less bad than fake fur, both environmentally and in terms of employment practices.

TheFairyCaravan · 23/04/2019 20:33

I loved breast feeding I'm pleased I could do it but no one cares about that apart from me. I don't care how anyone else is feeding their babies as long as they aren't feeding them something that is harmful, and formula milk isn't. I don't care if a woman wants to breastfeed until their child is 8 either because it doesn't affect me or those I love.

chocolateworshipper · 23/04/2019 20:36

@BeautyQueenFromMars that's so unfair - you've never even met me Sad

VoteJadot · 23/04/2019 20:41

Sharing pictures and shaming people on FB for big game hunting is twattish. You might not like it, but it's legal and a source of income for third-world countries in need of foreign currency, so get over it.

MissConductUS · 23/04/2019 20:49

Many yanks, me included, think that Meghan was a bit bonkers for marrying into the the royal family.

Moralitym1n1 · 23/04/2019 20:49

It's pretty shit in terms of employment practices for the fking foxes.

VoteJadot · 23/04/2019 21:08

Meh. They're foxes.

HerBigChance · 23/04/2019 21:09

shirleyschmidt · 23/04/2019 21:11

Men are better drivers
Trump should get a state visit
Mayonnaise is revolting
Grandparents should help with childcare sometimes (if physically able and available)

WillGymForPizza · 23/04/2019 21:20

Oh yes! Whisky 'its a speed limit not a target' is always IME trotted out by shit drivers who drive everywhere at 40mph.

shirleyschmidt · 23/04/2019 21:25

@WillGymForPizza made me LOL 🙌
