I don't live there. But I sort of wish I knew whoever does...

It's weird but I kind of love it. It's kind of sad that someone will probably buy it, rip all that stuff out and paint it magnolia Sad

BeanBag7 · 17/04/2019 10:25

Also the floor plan seems to show that the top floor has a small bedroom with a big separate sitting area, with a loo and shower in the sitting area Confused

Orangepear · 17/04/2019 10:35

I bet they'll be still packing on moving day!

AllTheFunAndGames · 17/04/2019 12:20

Is magnolia 'in' again? It was popular in the 80's when people had had enough of 'jumping bean'. Grin

Wineandpyjamas · 17/04/2019 12:31

Omg the little man/gnome holding the loo roll!

I. LOVE. IT.

SileneOliveira · 17/04/2019 12:34

Where do you even BUY that stuff? I have been on this planet almost 45 years and have yet to walk into a shop which sells a two thirds size praying Virgin Mary.

Maybe I just hang out in the wrong places.

TheGrapefulDread · 17/04/2019 13:12

There are religious reclamation yards, they have an online presence I have my eye on a Nun but am currently short of the 1200 pounds asking price.Grin For the bog roll butler alas you need a time machine and the location of a capacious pine warehouse to co ordinate back to, or the stars to align as you rootle through e bay.

PlatypusPie · 17/04/2019 16:30

A friend lived in a shared house in the 80s, with a loo, sink and bath in a very large attic room like that - the rest of the house was quite normal and the bizarre bathroom was properly finished etc, but it felt very exposed having a bath, or even going to the loo, looking out over an expanse of empty flooring.

LakieLady · 17/04/2019 17:00

*Absolutely brilliant. It reminds me of this one: www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-77313167.html

The fox shagging the bannister is a personal fave.*

There's a fox on top of the washing machine, too. And those peacocks ...

I think this one might be worse than the first one, tbh.

JuniorAsparagus · 17/04/2019 17:32

Wow. My in laws used to live in that village. Who knew. Behind closed doors and all that. Someone must love it as it is SSTC.

EllenOlenska · 17/04/2019 17:35

"Immaculately presented"
"Modernised"
LMAO

SingleMumFighting · 17/04/2019 17:38

Love the garden though. Its the best part of the house!

Croprotationinthe14thcentury · 17/04/2019 17:47

I do like the garden though!

WhatchaMaCalllit · 17/04/2019 17:55

@LackieLady - Oh my god. What has been seen can never be unseen. That's just vile.
I realise that I have a lot of stuff in my house so it's a bit cluttered, but I'd actually be afraid to view it in case I knocked over a pheasant or fox or something.

O.M.G!!!!

Livpool · 17/04/2019 18:05

It's a bit on the plain side for me. Have they heard of colour? Or decorations?

seventysevenpercent · 17/04/2019 18:08

I don't think it's travellers- that's a coffee machine in the kitchen. I agree, southern Italian. My MIL is from Sicily, she's four feet nine and has a gra for gold trainers and huge holy statues. She'd love this.

Alsohuman · 17/04/2019 18:10

Do travellers not drink coffee?

sueelleker · 17/04/2019 18:15

Ye gods!

CoffeeWithMyOxygen · 17/04/2019 18:20

I know that road! You’d have to pay me to live there but maybe this house could tempt me Grin

purpleclaire · 17/04/2019 18:25

I bet the owners are Italian.

LeekMunchingSheepShagger · 17/04/2019 18:27

Fuck me

SittingAround1 · 17/04/2019 18:47

I don't think the owners are Italian as they generally don't do carpets.

The full sized coat of armour in the bedroom of the second house would seriously freak me out.

IfNotNowThenWhy · 17/04/2019 19:00

I'm Irish in Ireland. The only people who have houses like that here are settled travellers (gypsies)I can 100% guarantee you that is a traveller house. The Virgin Mary statue is the give away

My first thought on seeing the house was that it was settled Romanys, cos I've known a few and they have always decorated their houses in a flamboyant way(including the outside walls with wagon wheels etc). I don't know much about Irish travellers though.
I think it's a great house-so much space! At least it's fun, unlike most grey, bland samey houses you see now.

Numptysod · 17/04/2019 20:15

I would use it as a bed and breakfast lol 😂

Nothininmenoggin · 17/04/2019 20:18

Wow.......For all the wrong reasons
