To be disconcerted by my new naked neighbour ...

I live in an upper floor flat in a large house converted into flats. The house next door has been vacant for nearly a year, being renovated. The new owners moved in on Friday.

This afternoon as I've been working at my desk, in front of the window overlooking my garden and the gardens on either side, I've been treated to the sight of an elderly man mowing the lawn wearing nothing but a sunhat and some flip-flops.

I'm genuinely confused about what to think. It's their garden of course. I have a teenage daughter whose bedroom window overlooks the gardens who will probably find it hilarious; dh already found it amusing until the man's wife joined him around an hour ago - you guessed it, stark naked!

It's sunny today but really cold; I dread to think what will happen in summer ...

ooooo imagine the sun burn

Properly one of the few people not to be deficient of Vitamin D mind you.

TheLittleDogLaughed · 14/04/2019 18:54

SimonJT they are quite weathered and leathery looking, I doubt they suffer much sunburn.

Where did he hang his sun hat

asking for a friend

recrudescence · 14/04/2019 18:57

They are either naturists or exhibitionists. If the latter, they may agree to mow your lawn gratis.

TheLittleDogLaughed · 14/04/2019 18:58

PlainSpeakingStraightTalking not on the part of his body that was bouncing against his thighs as he strode up and down the garden ... Shock

recrudescence fortunately the garden area of our house is paved.

Are they visible from the street, or are you the lucky ones because you live in the upper floor?

eyeswideshit · 14/04/2019 19:01

I'd think, 'oh they must be naturists' then carry on with my day, unless they were shagging in the flowerbeds of course. I'm sure it will quickly become quite normal for you.

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 14/04/2019 19:03

It would never become normal for me🤮

Siameasy · 14/04/2019 19:03

I dread to think what will happen in summer

I’m not sure they can go much further. Shag maybe?😂😂😂😂

Chocolateisfab · 14/04/2019 19:05

PentreBachCymraeg · 14/04/2019 19:13

70sWitch · 14/04/2019 19:31

They must be out of their minds! It's fucking freezing.

MakeMineALarge1 · 14/04/2019 19:32

@ 70's Witch
That was my first thought!

MakeMineALarge1 · 14/04/2019 19:33

In this bloody weather, they need a medal!

TheLittleDogLaughed · 14/04/2019 19:35

They are hugging. Watching the sun go down.

Not visible from the street, I am the lucky one to witness the purity of nature. Maybe the people in the flat below too.

UCOinanOCG · 14/04/2019 19:37

Where are you? It's fucking freezing here in the east of Scotland.

bebeboeuf · 14/04/2019 19:38

I love that they are hugging in the nude watching the sun go down.

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 14/04/2019 19:38

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 14/04/2019 19:39

What Bebe said ☺️

MyKingdomForACaramel · 14/04/2019 19:41

Jesus I just took the do for a walk wearing a coat and was frozen so god knows how he endured mowing the lawn without a stitch on

jay55 · 14/04/2019 19:42

I went on my balcony earlier in bare feet and thought I was going to get frostbite in my toes. They must be super hardy.

Bit grim to see though.
