After reading another thread it made me wonder? And do you consider which one to wear or like me grab the nearest one? I have a lot but tbh I don’t have a favourite. Gifts for birthday, Christmas, valentines. They all smell lovely but it’s always the nearest which gets used!

around 10 - I pick one out for a few days and change it when I wash my hair (fresh hair fresh scent!)

50+. Too many to count. I have a couple of Ikea boxes in my wardrobe and get some out every week to switch it up. A few Tom Fords, some Serge Lutyens, Thierry Mugler Pure's and a lot of niche brands.
I don't splurge much but have built up my collection over years. I keep them dark and cool and have rarely had any spoil.
Some people collect bags and shoes, I collect fragrance.

I like to smell very individual, but sometimes they are too different. L'etat Libre D'orange Secretions; I'm looking at you. Envy Not Envy!

Latest addition is Viktor and Rolf Midnight Flowerbomb, that I'm reviewing for Debenhams. It is lovely. Blackberries and pomegranate to start, then deep creamy jasmine with a beautifully sweet vanilla base note. Much less kapow than the original Flowerbomb.

It gets addictive trying to hunt down elusive older bottles with none of the modern reformulations.

This thread’s making me feel a bit less bad about the bottle of Miller Harris La Fumée that just got delivered from TK Maxx (it was a bargain!!).

On the go right now I also have Fleur de Peau, Volutes and Eau de Lierre, all by Diptyque. I have Rose Imaginaire and Jean-Marie Farina by Roger et Gallet in the cupboard but not used them lately. So that’s 6, that’s not too bad!

PoppyD93x · 08/04/2019 20:54

I get all my perfumes from next. I have two i use at the moment. They're huge bottles for only £14.

GinZing · 08/04/2019 21:00

I have one. Must perfumes smell like cats piss on me Hmm

BlueJava · 08/04/2019 21:01

I have zero bottles! It can be a migraine trigger for me plus in an enclosed office space - eugh!

BlackPrism · 08/04/2019 21:12

About 15?

BlackPrism · 08/04/2019 21:23

My favourites are Floraiku Between Two Trees and Memo Paris Tamarindo.

Bunnylady53 · 08/04/2019 21:32

Not sure off the top of my head but there are a few I reach for first. Roberto Cavelli, Avon Timeless, Coco Chanel, Lulu & an Yves Rocher one I wore on my wedding day called Clea. I easily have 20 bottles.

HolyForkingShirt · 08/04/2019 21:40

I have La Vie Est Belle for going out, a Next one for daytime and a cool foreign one for daytime. Most days I forget though, so they just sit there!

Tiddler7 · 08/04/2019 21:40

Chanel Allure are my ever favourite, and Kenzo Flower. Other 5 or so bottles will be eventually used...

belleandsnowwhite · 08/04/2019 21:49

None, I would love to have one special one though

roses2 · 09/04/2019 07:22

Since I discovered Perfume Parlour (thanks to mumsnet) I own a lot more than I used to. Not sure if I have a favourite- they are all good!

Fazackerley · 09/04/2019 07:25

About 15. 12 of them are dupes 😁 my current fave is Prada Iris

Galvantula · 09/04/2019 07:27

Zero.

Technically one, unopened gift though.

I've never worn perfume really.

HaroldsSocalledBluetits · 09/04/2019 19:09

I am having a look on the perfume parlour website. Am I better getting a rollon than a spray? Is that what you all mean by perfume oil? I am new to this!

Alsohuman · 09/04/2019 19:11

The sprays aren’t oil, they’re conventional fragrance. The oils are more economical. I personally don’t like roll ons, they remind me of deodorant!

BloodyDisgrace · 09/04/2019 19:43

I usually have 2. I use the same (around 5-6 scents I love), these are older, classic ones and rarely new.
Stuff like Ysatis, ChanelN5, Serge Lutens "Chergui", Stella McCartney's first perfume. There was an excellent one - Palazzo, forgot by whom - but they stopped doing it. The new stuff is sickly sweet and smells of generic "niceness". It lacks character.

Maldives2006 · 09/04/2019 19:56

Try Tom Ford’s collection, Jo Malone or diptique stands

Threefaries · 09/04/2019 20:02

None. They trigger migraines. My dd is very sensitive and ends up sobbing in agony and vomiting. Since removing perfumes smells smell different.

LoobyLou1976 · 09/04/2019 20:07

Off the top of my head my collection includes:

Guerlain Insolence
Guerlain Jicky
Guerlain Shalimar
Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Manderine Basilic
Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Nerolia Bianca
CK one
DKNY Verbena
D&G Light Blue Intense
Clinique Happy
Cerruti 1881
DKNY Be Delicious
DKNY Delicious Night
CK Eternity Moment
Jimmy Choo by Jimmy Choo EDP
Jennifer Lopez LIVE (only for the bottle!)
Chanel Chance
Dolce & Gabbana Dolce
Mark Jacobs Daisy
D&G 3 L'Imperatrice

A few cheaper perfumes from Avon etc.

There was an Avon perfume by Christian Lacroix called Absynth that was in a beautiful green bottle which has since been discontinued. I loved it and bought some bottles on ebay but they are all finished now!

GlomOfNit · 09/04/2019 21:00

I have two, currently: Dior's Diorissimo which I've 'inherited' from my mother (she gave me my first bottle when I was 16) and worn for the last three decades, year-round, and a precious bottle of Guerlain's Apres l'Ondee, which was a birthday present. I'm never without the Diorissimo but I'm not always lucky enough to have an old fashioned Guerlain scent on the go - I also love L'Heure Bleue and Vol de Nuit. I also adore a lot of Penhaligon scents but they are bloody costly and last mere minutes on me.
