To ask if your second baby was as big as your first

So I've heard a lot of people saying that the second baby is usually bigger than the first, what has your experience of this been? My first was 9lb 6oz so afraid this one will be bigger
And did your pregnancies last the same length of time? Ds was born at 38 weeks so hoping number 2 will arrive around the same time and doesn't go on to 40 + weeks.

But DS2 born 1 week overdue and DS1 born 2 weeks early.

First at term + 5 was 6lb 1 but has a heart condition that causes small stature.
Second term + 14 was 7lb 15.

First was 9 15 at 42 weeks. She was huge!

Second was just 8 9 - but at 39 weeks (elcs)

If you're still about OP - bigger, later BUT way easier delivery, far less painful.

My second was bigger than my first, by one ounce 7lbs 12oz and 7lbs 13oz respectively.

My sisters kids went 9lbs 12oz, 9lbs 1oz and 8lbs 6oz!

My second was 2lb bigger, the third was the same size as the first. ( 1 and 3 were a shade under 9lb....)

Mine all got smaller thank god because my first was 9lb 12 (at 42 weeks) then ds2 was 8lb13 (at 39 weeks so I guess it’s possible he may have ended up bigger at same gestation) and dc3 was 8lb 5, though she was the only girl too (does that even make a difference?) I dunno. Boys are now 6’3 and 6’4 and dd is quite petite

Well, my first was premature so smaller. But I was told babies out in around half a pound a week during the last few weeks, in which case he would have been 2 lbs heavier than DS2 (who was 6lbs 6oz but on time)!

First DS 10lb at 41 weeks. Second DD 9lb 11 at 40 weeks. So had she stayed in till week 41, it’s likely she’d have been bigger.
