Which would you prefer? Are you a dog or cat person?

Cats ofcourse

VeryQuaintIrene · 05/04/2019 03:40

Cats purr. Dogs can't, so this is a no-brainer.

OutOntheTilez · 05/04/2019 04:04

Cats!

cricketmum84 · 05/04/2019 05:37

Cats definitely. Those people who say cats don't care about their human pets (not owners! Nobody owns a cat) need to have seen our lovely tuxedo girl comforting my DD last night and early hours of this morning when she was ill.

Also most pet dogs don't stand a chance of survival without humans. Cats like to ensure our survival as well as their own with their food offerings.

Pics of my gorgeous kitty's favourite sleep position to backup my POV.

Dogs, obviously! They save lives every day (service dogs, sniffer dogs etc) and cats just don't!

Sadiesnakes · 05/04/2019 05:50

Cats for sure!

IAmNotAWitch · 05/04/2019 05:54

Cats.

Dogs smell and their eagerness to please is weird and off putting.

agnurse · 05/04/2019 06:08

This is our boys enjoying some attention from Daddy. Mr. Bigglesworth (Biggie) is smiling. He practically worships Daddy. Gatsby is sleeping on Daddy's lap.

I read something rather interesting a while back. Apparently, dogs are pretty dependent on humans. They don't survive well on their own. But cats, as we know, are fairly independent. (There are exceptions. Biggie is one. Granted we suspect he thinks he's a dog Grin). It seems cats hang around humans mainly because they like them.

Dogs!

I agree with the PP who said what good are cats. Dogs I feel truly love us and are compassionate animals. They're smart and make great assistance and police dogs.

Cats are users, come to us on their terms, take what they need and go on their way. Can you imagine the police trying to use a cat as a drug or explosives sniffer Grin or someone sight impaired trying to get a cat to help it across the road 😂

agnurse · 05/04/2019 06:10

Depends on the cat. Biggie comes when called. Gatsby is currently sitting on my lap. (Gatsby was rejected by his mother and hand reared. We adopted him when he was 2 months old. He promptly decided that I'm his mum Grin

Depends on the cat. Biggie comes when called

Course they do, they think they're getting something like food. Grin

TrotEsio · 05/04/2019 06:24

Cats!

Dog smell and come to you for unsolicited attention.

BlackSatinDancer · 05/04/2019 06:35

Dogs.

I like cats but I love dogs, although some of these pics make me want your cats.
Greeborising's post is very thought-provoking though. It makes me feel really sorry for dogs.

I want EleanorAbernathy's cats from her first pic. What breed are they Eleanor? They are gorgeous and look full of personality.

AngeloMysterioso · 05/04/2019 06:45

There was a thread on here not long ago asking people what the best thing was they’d ever spent money on, and so many people said their dogs. They’re loyal, provide emotional support, can be literal lifesavers!

Cats are just yowly entitled little shits imo.

Bibijayne · 05/04/2019 06:48

"Be put in cage
Not allowed on the sofa
Have a chain put around your neck"

Don't think you've met many dog people!

She says with her pooch snuggled up on the daybed next to her as she feeds the baby

Bibijayne · 05/04/2019 06:48

Dogs!

DumbledoresApprentice · 05/04/2019 06:48

I love both but would have to say cats. My cat is a total cuddle-monster and loves a tummy rub as much as any dog.

RuffleCrow · 05/04/2019 06:49

Cats! They hace the decency to poo in other people's flowerbeds rather than right on the flipping pavement where I'm trying to walk. And they understand the concept of personal space, mostly.

hazeyjane · 05/04/2019 06:49

Cats (even though their main contribution to our house is to eat mice, slugs and grass and vomit them onto the carpet, then have a leisurely arse wash whilst you try to eat your tea). Majestic animals.

floribunda18 · 05/04/2019 06:50

Cats - sorry dog.

maddening · 05/04/2019 06:52

Cats cats cats

CigarsofthePharoahs · 05/04/2019 06:53

Cats.
Furry purry self cleaning pets.
Plus my eldest child is scared of dogs.

origamiunicorn · 05/04/2019 06:55

Yikes I'm shocked at MN, thought there would be more dog lovers going on previous threads. Kind of glad it doesn't mirror my world, I don't know anyone who prefers cats! They are, as a PP said, entitled little shits Grin
