To think there is nothing better than rewatching a favourite series after a few years break?

Just rewatched all of Buffy for the first time in absolute years. Enjoyed it even more this time perhaps as I already knew how good it was going to be. Thinking maybe going back to the West Wing next.

Just doing this for Bones and watched most of The Mentalist just to see the wedding at the end.

DirtyDennis · 04/04/2019 11:17

YANBU. I love re-watching programmes so much, especially if you're having a lovely Saturday night with wine and nice food. My perspective is why take the risk on something new that might be shit? Stick with something you know is brilliant.

Every Christmas, me and DP re-watch the whole of Gavin and Stacey. It's a Christmas tradition.

I'm currently re-watching Lost. It's actually quite good Blush

Mummabear2212 · 04/04/2019 11:18

I'm re watching ER! Even better this time around

Disfordarkchocolate · 04/04/2019 11:20

I loved ER and NYPD Blues.
When I tell my husband that Goerge Clooney in the storm drain is my favourite tv moment he looks at me like I'm mad. I look at him like he's a philistine.

Dementedswan · 04/04/2019 11:21

Where can you watch the full ER series?

flissfloss65 · 04/04/2019 11:22

So true. I loved re-watching Dexter.

DownWentTheFlag · 04/04/2019 11:22

I have recently re-watched every episode of Downton Abbey, apart from the finale, which I am keeping for a rainy day. Loved every minute.

Katinkka · 04/04/2019 11:23

I'm thinking of rewatching The Sopranos... and The West Wing.

HotPriest · 04/04/2019 11:24

Oooh ER what a great idea. Saw New Amsterdam recently and whilst pretty good it wasn't a patch on ER.

Xyzzzzz · 04/04/2019 11:25

I’m rewatching sex and the city

purpleme12 · 04/04/2019 11:26

Ooh I'd love to watch Buffy again.

Mummabear2212 · 04/04/2019 11:26

It's just brilliant. Then and now. And totally agree about the storm drain! Although I'm nearly at the Mark Greene goodbye letter and can feel the tears building already!

@Dementedswan I watched 1-6 On CBS drama which re showed it recently and then when they stopped showing it at the end of s6 and no plans to carry on, I realised i was far too invested and bought them all!

AnaVanda · 04/04/2019 11:27

I've recently rewatched Auf Weidersen Pet. Totally enjoyed it. Smile

SilverySurfer · 04/04/2019 11:27

I'm currently rewatching Scorpions on Netflix and think White Collar on Prime will be my next series to rewatch.

Most of ER is on Amazon Prime - I rewatched that too.

TarragonSauce · 04/04/2019 11:29

We redo Lost every few years. DH sits and analyses the whole thing - I just sit and smile at Sawyer.

Nesssie · 04/04/2019 11:35

Agree! I just watched Misfits again and loved it!

NurseButtercup · 04/04/2019 11:38

Oooh I regularly watch the repeats of law and order, I like the UK version and any of the American episodes that feature Linus Roache and Sam Waterston.

tkband3 · 04/04/2019 11:41

Absolutely! I just re-watched all of Grey's Anatomy on Amazon Prime which was brilliant, and then watched New Amsterdam (which was also good, but obviously not a re-watch). Would love to re-watch ER...

MsRinky · 04/04/2019 11:42

Some things are just too good not to return to. I'm on my third run-though of the Sopranos at the moment.

IvanaPee · 04/04/2019 11:44

I re-watch The Office (the American one, not the shit UK one) loads.

Also Gilmore Girls for some cheesy, feel good viewing.

Although as I get older I realize that Lorelei is not as fab as I once thought, is quite mean to her parents, and really very annoying.

See also Rory for the annoying bit.

DirtyDennis · 04/04/2019 11:44

@TarragonSauce Grin Yes, I smile at Sawyer too, especially when he has his hair tied back. Big smile.

Lemonsquinky · 04/04/2019 11:50

I agree. I'm watching: Lost, Mad Men and Breaking Bad. When it's well written the second time you watch it, you notice things you missed the first time. Also you know when sad things happen, so it's not such a shock.

CharDeeMacDennis · 04/04/2019 11:54

Ooh, I'm an inveterate re-watcher. Watching Archer at the moment for the 11 millionth time. Like a PP, also the US Office, watch that loads.

Community, Arrested Development, Always Sunny, Rick and Morty, Parks and Rec, Brooklyn 99, all really reward multiple watches.

There's a theme there - I love prestige dramas and get really into them, but don't usually watch them again - it's the comedies I go back to repeatedly. Though I AM planning a full re-watch of Battlestar Galactica at some point as it's ages since we watched that, and it was brilliant.

BadPennyNoBiscuit · 04/04/2019 11:55

purpleme12 You can get the box sets for about £3 per series. Go on, ask me how I know Grin

Nesssie · 04/04/2019 11:58

The Office (US) is wayy better than the UK one
