Just rewatched all of Buffy for the first time in absolute years. Enjoyed it even more this time perhaps as I already knew how good it was going to be. Thinking maybe going back to the West Wing next.

Oh, and Firefly!

HotPriest · 05/04/2019 20:32

Lots of good suggestions on this thread. Nice to see everyone loves a bit of vintage tv.

Yes! Am rewatching the entirety of greys anatomy 😁

Tolleshunt · 05/04/2019 20:41

I'd love to watch Teachers, Green Wing and Pulling again.

Namechangingfiend · 05/04/2019 20:44

Currently watching Buffy for the second time within a year! Not long just finished Angel. I have probably watched Buffy 50 times in total, I was OBSESSED as a teen.

I'm watching Bones for the first time at the min, I will 100% rewatch it!!

I'm also rewatching Grey's anatomy.

I have watched breaking bad 3 times too!

So no, you're not being unreasonable to rewatch again and again!

Namechangingfiend · 05/04/2019 20:45

Oh and Gilmore girls, I always rewatch that in Autumn and Winter... I smell snow!!

Hippopotas · 05/04/2019 20:45

Yes I just went through stargate sg1 am now on stargate atlantis and will be moving on to Farscape and andromeda after that.

Marmite27 · 05/04/2019 20:51

Dinnerladies is the only thing I consciously go for a rewatch. Though there’s many I accidentally fall into. Greys, Scandal, West Wing, Buffy, Angel.

TwinkleTee · 05/04/2019 21:01

oooo! I'm just watching all of Buffy again. It's so good and late 90's nostalgic. I'm also concurrently listening to a podcast called "Buffering the Vampire Slayer" which discusses every episode, thinking about themes and story arcs. It's fab!
I've just got to the point where people leave to go and join the show "Angel" so I'm thinking about watching all of that from the beginning too.

PoptartPoptart · 05/04/2019 22:15

@TarragonSauce - I’m with you on that one!
Sawyer was the only reason I persevered with Lost Wink

BogstandardBelle · 05/04/2019 22:36

Haven’t RTFT but I just knew the OP would be inspired by Buffy. I’m just about ready to break out the box set for another run: all that Umbrella Academy/ OA / shit on Netflix really doesn’t come close.

phlebasconsidered · 05/04/2019 23:11

I have to rewatch Firefly because they only made one measly series. Idiots.

Being Human is worth it. The Fades as well.

bsc · 05/04/2019 23:25

Tolleshunt I have just finished watching all of Green Wing a couple of weeks ago. I haven't seen it since it was first broadcast, and there were loads of things I'd forgotten about! It was amazing though- I love Tamsin Greig, and Mac of course...

Dobinette · 06/04/2019 00:03

Nobody's said Frasier?! Currently flying through the complete collection (again!)

Tolleshunt · 06/04/2019 01:15

bsc Dr Mac is soooo attractive!!!

Dr Statham cracks me up, Tamsin Greig and Stephen Manganese are epic, in fact the whole cast and scriptwriting is just so awesome.

Have not seen anything like it since.

Tolleshunt · 06/04/2019 01:15

Stephen MANGAN, even. Bloody autocorrect.

steff13 · 06/04/2019 02:14

I'm watching Gilmore Girls right now.
We rewatch Buffy periodically. I love Spike.

steff13 · 06/04/2019 02:18

Also Supernatural is great for a rewatch.

HeronLanyon · 06/04/2019 03:17

I have breaking bad and the sopranos on my ‘rewatch’ list. Trouble is I don’t have time to do this - actually I do now I think of it. I don’t watch much tv but need to reprioritise. Why am I watching things like masterchef when that could have been two seasons of something truly great ? (This series of masterchef was great Tbf).
Good thread op. Gonna do it. Sopranos first.

pollywollydoodler · 06/04/2019 04:07

Icompletely reasonable, am rewatching Green Wing with dd15, we've also watched Dawson's Creek and Friends. All went down well..

polarpig · 06/04/2019 04:11

I watched Soldier Soldier years ago, I think I'd watch it again if it was repeated but I wonder how well most series stand the test of time?

llangennith · 06/04/2019 04:38

Soldier Soldier has been repeated recently, and more than once. Also London's Burning.

I'm enjoying watching The West Wing again and can't believe how relevant it still is after more than 20 years.

polarpig · 06/04/2019 04:45

Has it? I rarely watch television and tend not to look beyond the main channels so wouldn't have noticed.

FenellaMaxwell · 06/04/2019 05:01

YES to ER!! I was 11 when it first started and my aunt was, at the time, a ward sister in a very big and busy A&E, and she was hooked and got me into it! I hated watching it with her though as she’d shout at the tv that they weren’t doing things right Grin I watched the whole thing start to finish again when I had just had DS and was up most of the night with him.

I must have rewatched Gavin and Stacey 5 times now, and I think I watch the BBC Pride and Prejudice at least once a year. Currently rewatching the American Office and the Mentalist.

orangeblosssom · 06/04/2019 05:07

I watched My so called life. This time I identified with parental strife as well remembering teenage woes.
