Because they completely ignore the proven illegalities around the Leave campaign that would have made void the result had the referendum been binding.

At least 75% of EMA staff have relocated to the Netherlands (with a generous relocation package funded by the EU and the Dutch Government

no, the actual number of staff moving is a lot lower than this. 75% staff said they were prepared to move, but when it came to it, many decided against it. Not uncommon for any major relocation of businesses, even within the U.K. EMA is currently managing with staff doing a lot of wfh and flexible working of previous staff until they recruit for the NL jobs.

Personally, I would have thought that the recent rise in terrorist incidents has had a much bigger influence on racism.

("grin") - And I don't know why you think it's something to laugh about - whatever the cause.

the 60 UK employees will be able to apply for jobs with the UK's MHRA - who will need extra staff Will they? Where’s this extra funding for MHRA coming from then? They currently have 8 job vacancies, when are the mythical 60 going to appear?

Pharmaceutical Journal 22 Nov 2018 (the EMA moved in January)

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) will lose fewer staff than feared when it moves from its London headquarters to a new home in Amsterdam after Brexit.

Europe’s drugs safety watchdog anticipated in summer 2018 that around 30% of its existing 900-strong workforce would not make the move to the Netherlands, but that figure has now been revised down to 24%.

The lower number is attributed to support on offer to those employees who want to move and “positive feedback” from those who have already set up home in Amsterdam, the EMA told The Pharmaceutical Journal.

"My decision had nothing to with racism and was not influenced by UKIP*

Nope it never is. I expect you are utterly shocked and bewildered by the rise in racism since the ref.

i didnt call her a racist, cheers, i strongly doubt she is,- however, i was pointing out that like many leavers, she was quite happy to overlook the racist nature of the leave campaign - i think that was a mistake - and if i were a brexiteer i would be beyond mortified at the rise in racism and the rise of tommy robinson and it would certainly make me question my choices.

Nope she didn't call you racist or anyone else racist for that matter.

Leavers always start this stuff when they can't justify their arguments.

Which they never can.

funnelfanjo · 05/04/2019 12:05

@Clavinova that’s from over four months ago when only 60 staff had physically moved. The numbers change on a daily basis though, as more staff make decisions as the date for relocation approaches. We are monitoring the situation closely,” a spokesperson said

No comment on the miraculous MHRA jobs?

Helmetbymidnight · 05/04/2019 12:06

whats despicable?

the fact that she voted alongside the racists or the fact that i pointed it out?

If its perceived as an anti establishment vote, it is done so only by the people who voted for whatever was in their own head, not reality.

The anti establishment movement of newspaper magnates, non dom peers, Ritz Owners, the landed gentry and public school educated.

Soooo anti establishment

mummmy2017 · 05/04/2019 12:08

Why do you constantly demand answers then resort to calling us stupid or racist...
So are the Muslim voters who wanted to leave racist?.
What about the people who are not Caucasian?

BorisBogtrotter · 05/04/2019 12:11

Copy and paste Clav not checking her sources again I see.

It really is funny.

BorisBogtrotter · 05/04/2019 12:11

No one has called anyone racist, they have said that there were racist elements in the leave campaign, and there were.

Helmetbymidnight · 05/04/2019 12:13

oh God Grin

alright, gilbert, i dont think she is a racist, i just cant understand why any left-leaning person would side for a racist campaign - a movement led by right wing elites- that will wreak havoc on the peace process, that is already screwing the economy, that is killing our science and academic collaborations, that will fuck many protections and unsettle the lives of millions.

is that better? is that any less 'despicable' for you? Grin

Helmetbymidnight · 05/04/2019 12:20

Why do you constantly demand answers

eh, these are political discussion threads! you dont think you just plop down your opinions without any discussion, do you? you do?

then resort to calling us stupid or racist
where?
no one thinks all brexiteers are stupid or racist. even if someone did, surely the normal response would be counter it with evidence, facts and reasoning?

(my dad voted leave- i dont think he is stupid or racist, merely wrong)

Ilovewhippets · 05/04/2019 12:22

Boris could you name some of the ‘landed gentry’ who voted leave, please?

Alsohuman · 05/04/2019 12:24

Jacob Rees Mogg and Boris do for you?

Helmetbymidnight · 05/04/2019 12:27

who was that posh fella who wanted gina miller run over?

PortiaCastis · 05/04/2019 12:30

The rise in racism has prompted 2 of our employees to go back to Eastern Europe, nasty verbal abuse and being told "fuck off back where you came from" takes a mental toll on people who have come here to work and is disgusting.
Doesn't seem to be an influx of applicants for the ensuing vacancies though!

Aeroflotgirl · 05/04/2019 12:47

Yabvvvu, we voted officially (no opinion poll) to leave the EU or to remain, now leave were in the majority, so the government should have upheld that decision which they did not. Of course those who voted leave are annoyed, their vote has been for nothing when the remainers are just dragging it on and on.

Aeroflotgirl · 05/04/2019 12:50

Isen't it the government who are hypocrites, leading the people on that they would have a choice, when they had no intention to leave the EU!
