We're in the stressful and expensive process of moving house, next door have just sold for £170,000. We're on for less and have slightly less space and less than all agents suggested (165-170). But we're not selling!

Marvelous! You've done an amazing job. Well done.

Now you have to be sure to start a new thread so that we can follow the updates. Wishing you a fast sale.

dreichuplands · 05/04/2019 15:48

That is a great improvement OP, I am also really impressed with the way you have dealt with this thread.
Just pull back the blinds in the dining room for the photo.

Contraceptionismyfriend · 05/04/2019 16:05

I can't believe the difference! The conservatory looks amazing. Well done OP!

NigellaAwesome · 05/04/2019 16:11

Conservatory looks a million times better. I agree with drawing the blinds back in both rooms for the photos.

The chair in your DD's room isn't doing it any favours. I suggest moving it out for photos.

Calledyoulastnightfromglasgow · 05/04/2019 16:13

So much nicer! Agree with PP about chair in DD’s room

BollocksToBrexit · 05/04/2019 16:15

Wow, you've worked very hard and what a difference it's made. It looks so much better. Well done.

Deadringer · 05/04/2019 16:17

That is an amazing transformation op. You have been given good advice and you have taken it and run with it. Well done and good luck with the sale.

Rockmeamaryllis · 05/04/2019 16:18

Looks amazing. Well done OP!

StarlingsEverywhere · 05/04/2019 16:19

OP, that looks amazing, the conservatory especially. Well done!

Murphypoint · 05/04/2019 17:31

What a difference OP. For new photos I’d get rid of all the kids stuff and the black chair but a massive improvement. Best of luck to you and you have been very brave in posting in the first place.

Motoko · 05/04/2019 17:46

Wow, the conservatory looks 1000x better! Well done, but I agree about the black chair and the blinds.

yumyumpoppycat · 05/04/2019 18:07

Well done Op. I think the stag wall paper looks like it was always meant for a dining room Grin genuinely I think it all will be much more sellable now. Good luck!

JustHereForThePooStories · 05/04/2019 18:07

Nice job, OP!

Disfordarkchocolate · 05/04/2019 18:09

I can't believe that's the same conservatory. It looks fantastic. Good luck getting a buyer.

Llongyfarchiadau · 05/04/2019 18:33

It's lovely. Well done, OP!

Honeyroar · 05/04/2019 18:39

Well done. That conservatory looks so much better. I hope you reap the rewards.

CassandraCross · 05/04/2019 18:49

Um wow, OP, what a transformation! Look forward to seeing the other new photos.

Can I book you for when I sell?Grin.

IceRebel · 05/04/2019 18:55

The transformation of the conservatory is unbelievable. Shock

It looks like a completely different room, and is well worth any money spent.

yumyumpoppycat · 05/04/2019 18:59

If you cant take the blinds down, I would consider closing them for photos or pulling them to the side so they are not obvious in the photo of the front of the house.

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 05/04/2019 19:44

What did you put on the conservatory floor over the uneven flagstones?

TimeIhadaNameChange · 05/04/2019 20:02

I LOVE the conservatory! Bloody amazing, OP!

TrixieFranklin · 05/04/2019 20:06

Well done OP please make sure you make a new thread soon and pop the link here Grin

faeveren · 05/04/2019 20:53

Wow OP I’m not sure what I’m impressed with most, the hard work you have done or the absolute ability to turn all of the criticism into good ideas without losing your shit. Hats off to you on both counts Wine

Flaverings · 05/04/2019 20:54

The conservatory looks so much more inviting. I’m also curious about how you dealt with the uneven flagstones.

Grundtal · 05/04/2019 22:46

That looks so so much better. The upstairs isn't great due to the tiny (presumably windowless) third bedroom and not much bigger second bedroom and when upstairs isn't great the living space will sell it. Having a lounge, dining space and cosy family room is great. Our first house was similar. The upstairs layout was awful BUT great living space sold it to is, as you spend far more time in it.

The conservatory is a hundred times better. I hope you manage to sell.
