"Louise's" new single.

Give me strength.

What with her and Emma bunton, neither of whom had a jot of talent to begin with...

Why can't they just enjoy their former success and graciously recognise they're not actually serious recording artists.

We do not need new releases thank you.

What does stretching have to do with bumping uglies? Confused

Willowtreecottage · 26/03/2019 16:35

“Looks good for her age
How about
“ looks good”
So harsh.

Whoops75 · 26/03/2019 17:07

Not sure where this style of rhyming pop music fits anymore.I’m the same age as them and used to make up dances to songs like this when I was 13.

meladeso · 26/03/2019 17:55

I feel like the lyrics are a desperate attempt to remind us/men that they were pin ups. FHM cover girls etc.

But those who lusted after them then surely aren't going to buy this music? Even if they still do now.

And as PP have said, those who were teens at the time won't, and current teens certainly won't!

I just watched Emma Bunton's new video : ( I don't normally watch anything on u tube)
It's a forgettable song, but at least she was fully dressed and her family look lovely and happy! The comments were positive too.
I wouldn't download it myself but might hum along if it's on the radio.

tierraJ · 26/03/2019 18:40

"Louise is 44 & really probably more excited by new shoes than new men"

Well as a 42 year old with a new man AND new shoes I know which I find more exciting haha.

tierraJ · 26/03/2019 18:41

I will be honest though & say I agree about not knowing who the audience for this kind of music is.

Myextensionisgivingmeaheadache · 26/03/2019 18:42

I’ve never heard of Louise Confused

ooItsAoBeautifulDayNow · 26/03/2019 19:00

Just rediscovered my crush on "jade off of damage" and listening to ghetto romance. Those were the days!

Loved spice girls too - I never did get buffalo platform trainers but I might treat myself for memories sake!

Shit song but she is beaut and has one of those faces that changes lots depending on her styling - she looks like Twiggy, kate Hudson and then fearne cotton.

PositiveVibez · 26/03/2019 19:09

A bit like those all saints girls. Huge ego, little talent

How very dare you!!! They are still my favourites 🤣

All Saints are AMAZING. Their last 2 (fairly new) albums are fab and they still sound bloody brilliant live.

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 26/03/2019 21:58

Ah I didn’t realise JR was a serial shagger

Makes me sad as all the Media slated her and said she wanted a career etc . I did wonder and that serial shagger reason makes far More sense . Why can’t she just tell the truth ? Kids I guess

Anyway I actually like her more for knowing that

GabsAlot · 26/03/2019 22:04

even if he was a cheat why does she have to come back in videos not wearing alot with miundane songs

she wants a career fine but have some self respect

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 26/03/2019 22:09

But that’s her old job ! What’s she going to do otherwise ? School , Receptionist , lawyer , teaching ! She probably needs a nice presenting gig

GuineaPiglet345 · 26/03/2019 22:20

I’ve not seen Louise’s but I watched a bit of Emma’s, the dancing is very cringy, like a kid at a school disco who’s too shy to dance so just sways from side to side and the fake over the top laughing over and over again, it just seemed very amateurish and like pps I’m not sure who their audience is.

meladeso · 27/03/2019 00:29

@PositiveVibez I think it might be just shaznay that's amazing Wink she writes the songs and has the most convincing star quality or whatever you want to call it. Right?

Sorry positive should’ve dropped them all in the jungle ~and left them~ GrinWink

Realitea · 27/03/2019 17:35

Has anyone seen will young's 'come back' video? Obviously low budget so they thought they'd better just put him in a few different outfits in a studio. Then they thought, how can we make it stand out? I know! Let's make him take his clothes off!

Disfordarkchocolate · 27/03/2019 17:39

I love Will Young, off to look for his new video.

Mamacute · 27/03/2019 17:43

Right ?
Makes you wonder, doesn’t it ?

golddustwomen · 27/03/2019 17:46

Not heard Louise's. However just watched Emma's and cringed the whole way through. The song is god awful!!

dworky · 27/03/2019 17:47

*Yay - another thread with women kicking women

huzzah!*

I think the internalised misogyny virus is spreading faster than ever.

Disfordarkchocolate · 27/03/2019 17:47

OMG @Realitea, that video is awful. I feel traumatised!!! I do like the song though.

miaCara · 27/03/2019 17:58

When I heard Emmas song I assumed it was a cover as it sounded so familiar to me.
It itched at the back of my mind until I saw this thread which reminded me to do a bit of research.

Its a whole lot better of course.
Frazzledstar1 · 27/03/2019 17:59

I haven’t seen either video but I saw Louise in cabaret in the theatre a year and a bit ago and she was actually a much better singer then I expected!!

Thisisnotreallymyname · 27/03/2019 18:00

Louise Rednapp is the most insipid “ personality “ ( I use the term loosely, ever to grace our screens.
