"Louise's" new single.

Give me strength.

What with her and Emma bunton, neither of whom had a jot of talent to begin with...

Why can't they just enjoy their former success and graciously recognise they're not actually serious recording artists.

We do not need new releases thank you.

Just watched them both, back to back. Double cringe.

Chickenitalia · 26/03/2019 12:56

It was a bit fake, I think, and that clashed with having her family and pets etc in it to make it so ‘insta-worthy’. I felt much the same as when I see supposed spontaneous reality shows which you know are edited to the nth degree. The song is meh.

As an aside, she’s quickly turning into Goldie Hawn. Looking quickly at it I really thought it could have been Kate Hudson and then I realised who it really reminded me of. There are worse lookalikes out there. Off to hunt down the Louise song now 😁

instituute · 26/03/2019 13:02

Anyone got a link to Louise's video?

springbreak3 · 26/03/2019 13:04

Emma Bunton is pretty, and seems nice, but she flat-out cannot sing.

And why does she have her husband and kids in the video? Weird. Confused

Would also like to hear Louise's new song. Got a link @Meladeso ?

meladeso · 26/03/2019 13:07

Not seen Louise's video but posted a link to her song up thread a bit

Louise has no talent. Honestly I felt like she was a huge beneficiary of White privilege in eternal. Marrying Rednap was a genius move. Divorcing him to 'find herself' or whatever she calls this attempt at singing was not

I don't mind Emma too much. She seems really sweet. I like that she's held onto her money by not marrying down. But this song is utter shit

springbreak3 · 26/03/2019 13:19

Thank you! I have heard Louise's song now (Well a minute of it as that's all I could bear!)

'Stretch, go on and stretch your bodeehhhhh.....'

URGH it's terrible!

The80sweregreat · 26/03/2019 13:20

Emma Bunton was on the saturday morning breakfast show with Dermot on radio two singing away and still seems obsessed with the ' 60's sound' she was singing years ago as a solo artist.
It was funny as Dermot said ' your creative enough now to not have to be with a recording label' or something like that. In other words, rich enough to carry on and do what you like. good for her, but i doubt many younger listeners will download her song.
I do feel that some artists should bow out gracefully sometimes!

1forAll74 · 26/03/2019 13:21

Who is Louise ?

meladeso · 26/03/2019 13:24

I have never met bunton but I worked in tv in the late eighties and she had a dreadful reputation for being a stone cold b*tch! I never forgot that and I am incapable of watching her without that in the back of my mind.

Oh gawd, that's just embarassing.

They're lucky they ever had a career with those weak voices.

Dramatical · 26/03/2019 13:29

I didn't realise she was in TV before the spice girls!

The80sweregreat · 26/03/2019 13:29

i am surprised that Emma was seen as the nasty one actually as she always seems really sweet and chatty and nice. I was a fan of the Spice Girls and the only one i wasnt keen on was Posh - she seemed humourless whilst the others seemed more down to earth and ordinary.
( maybe not so much now, but when they first started out)
I've never met any of them, so its only what they come across as on tv of course. they seem to have been around for years and did make some catchy pop tunes.

starsurge · 26/03/2019 13:30

Just do a quick search, Yabbers, and you'll find numerous threads criticising Ed Sheeran/James Arthur.

GinaCarbonara · 26/03/2019 13:30

Emma Bunton was born in 76 so I'm not sure how much of a stone cold bitch a young teenager can be. Confused

meladeso · 26/03/2019 13:30

@Dramatical sorry to confuse - daytime tv, so when they were interviewed etc and crew had to deal with them.

OP posts:
GabsAlot · 26/03/2019 13:31

never rated louise-she was the mospt popular in the group but by men women didnt like her

and shes no better now

meladeso · 26/03/2019 13:32

@GinaCarbonara you may be right. But I'm talking about 1999.

GabsAlot · 26/03/2019 13:34

The80sweregreat · 26/03/2019 13:34

A lot of these pop stars went to stage schools i believe, maybe there they are taught how special they are and are pampered, then forget how to behave normally and be polite etc?

RSAcre · 26/03/2019 13:34

And yet where are all the threads about them?

So start one. I'm sure plenty of folk will join in the merriment.

Willowtreecottage · 26/03/2019 13:38

This thread is actually ageist too.
Bitch! Bitch...
Let them do as they want...

The80sweregreat · 26/03/2019 13:39

I am sure that a lot of stars - singers, soap actors, reality celebs and all the rest can be a mixture of horrible and nice - they are only human and being constantly told yes, must make them a bit stuck up/ precious at times? its hard to know whats real and what isnt sometimes.
becoming incredibly rich at a young age must also be a mixed blessing i imagine and can turn heads.

Willowtreecottage · 26/03/2019 13:39

You don’t get pampered at stage school HmmGrin
I went to one... it’s pretty bitchy and hard work!

Dramatical · 26/03/2019 13:42

sorry to confuse - daytime tv, so when they were interviewed etc and crew had to deal with them.

The spice girls were mid 90's though Confused
