To think DH should accept that this post was about him?

Bird has been chirping loudly outside of our bedroom window at the same time past few days. Sounds like an owl as it’s so loud. Yesterday it woke me up at 5.30am and same time today. Today I managed to get back to sleep only to be awoken by DH standing st the bedroom window stark bollock naked screaming and shouting. I told him to stop it as it would disturb the neighbours (it was only 6.30am) and he shouted that the bird had woken him up again on his only day off.
I got up at 8.30 and went on Facebook. Our area has its own Facebook page and there was a post on there about the nutter screaming and shouting at 6.30am. It must have been about DH as the times and words were identical! It had loads of replies, all angry etc saying they’d heard it too and it had woken children etc. I told him when he got up and he’s insisting that it wasn’t about him but was probably about the yobs that have been causing trouble but the wording was identical to what he was shouting!! AIBU to think it’s abdolutely obvious that the post was about him and he should recognise that??

Absolutely crying laughing! This sounds like something my DP would do 😂😂

Itssosunny · 25/03/2019 18:19

Mind you, some birds are annoying in the mornings especially in spring and summer. Some would start chirping like at 5am if not earlier. Beautiful singing (except for piegions) but not when you are trying to sleep.

@MitziK "£20 gets a fantastic, high attenuation and incredibly comfortable set of professional ear filters."

Would love to hear details on this! Snoring is driving me insane....

1forAll74 · 25/03/2019 18:33

I agree that these local FB community pages are sometimes awash with stupid comments from some key board warriors.. The slightest little happenings can get some people complaining..

A lovely guy who used to live near to me,used to like whistling and singing as he walked along the pavement, and quite a few numpties complained about him..
Its very quiet where I live, so I would probably find it quite funny,to hear a man shouting at a noisy bird outside !!

MitziK · 25/03/2019 18:36

@StormTreader

Your wish is my command.

Filters

They are designed to cut out the frequencies that do the most damage - which includes the high pitched ones (such as the type that birdies do) and low boomy ones (such as those from snoring twats) - but you are still able to hear stuff like smoke alarms or human speech.

DoubleDaffodil · 25/03/2019 18:38

More likely to be a pheasant than an owl.

Springwalk · 25/03/2019 18:49

Your husband has made my day! Really he has, absolutely hilarious! 🐦 viva little bird! ❤️

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 25/03/2019 18:55

So he got a bollocking from Fb whilst bollocking a bird with his bollocks out? GrinGrinGrin

Lalliella · 25/03/2019 19:19

Hilarious OP! This has made me laugh out loud on the train. Of course your DH knows it’s about him, he just doesn’t want to admit it. Let it go! And get a cat.

MissFitton Grin this is all I had in my mind too!

DH appeared on our Village Facebook page once as well...someone reported the vile man who was cursing at and threatening his wife. I read the post and thought what a terrible man, I wonder who it is. Then that evening the police were at the door to do a wellness check on me and the children...I was completely baffled but a very sheepish DH admitted the rant was his but directed at the cat after she peed in his camera bag and ruined several very expensive lenses. As he ran down the stairs with his lenses to wash them she ran between his legs and he went ass over tit down the stairs which led to a rant that included calling the cat a cunt and threatening to skin her. The police were actually hilarious about the whole thing once they realised what had happened. The cat casually strolled past them and one said "well we can confirm the cunt in question still has her fur". And then they left. DH was horribly embarrassed. I have dined out on this for years.

@hippogator AMAZING! Grin

ShowMeTheKittens · 25/03/2019 19:42

Owls don't chirp. Your husband sounds a bit deranged tbh.

Ellyess · 25/03/2019 19:44

AAAwww I love this! So glad I said I'd stay in after all! Yup, your DH is in deNile. Big time.
People next to my mum years ago moved to her country village (my family and most others living there have been there generations), and decided as they had moved to the "Cuntray" they had to do the Felicity Kendall thing (I saw repeats! Forgot what it's called tho!) and bought chicken AND a cockerel! Bluddy thing crows at 4 a.m. Decibels like a bomber engine. Furking terrible and won't stop. Quite a revival of attempted poaching and shooting going astray in the village.
Oh yes - the Good Life. Ha ha it's a terrible life! You're working outside every single day and even then you don't get enough done to eat enough...

Ellyess · 25/03/2019 19:45

Does anyone else find that Silent Pool (I grew up near there) gin advert very annoying flashing away at the side? Or am I getting too grouchy?

ThatssomebadhatHarry · 25/03/2019 19:51

I love our local area Facebook page. It’s hilarious. Posts like ‘did anyone hear the nutter screaming at birds’ and the inevitable 128replies of ‘I’d be livid hun’ make it all the funnier.
My absolute favourites are the nosy parker posts such as ‘does anyone know if Doris at number 22 is ok. There was an ambulance outside her house, just want to check she’s ok’ Yeah what ever Vera you want to be the first to let everyone know Doris is dead!

Ellyess · 25/03/2019 19:52

It's a wood pigeon. Or a dove! Love is in the air....

Motoko · 25/03/2019 19:52

No, you're not alone. It's pissing me off too, because it's avoided my adblocker.

Adelebo · 25/03/2019 20:09

This is hilarious ...i havn,t laughed so much in ages 😂😂😂😂
Definately a wood pigeon..I was dreading the 4am wake ups in the summer but now will be laughing thinking of your post 😂😂
@mitzik excellent advice ..no 3 😂😂

babyno5 · 25/03/2019 20:11

@Hippogator I think I may have peed myself. That is absolutely hilarious 😂😂

SeventhWave · 25/03/2019 20:12

My MIL does a wonderful impression of the wood pigeon that wakes her up at the crack of dawn in the mornings.

wanderings · 25/03/2019 20:19

"Shut the window, that bird's giving me a headache!"

To think DH should accept that this post was about him?
LakieLady · 25/03/2019 20:24

It's annoying me, but because of the pretentious "intricately realised" bollix on there, not because of its presence.

MyKingdomForACaramel · 25/03/2019 20:38

@hippogator that may be the funniest thing I have ever read on mumsnet
