To think DH should accept that this post was about him?

Bird has been chirping loudly outside of our bedroom window at the same time past few days. Sounds like an owl as it’s so loud. Yesterday it woke me up at 5.30am and same time today. Today I managed to get back to sleep only to be awoken by DH standing st the bedroom window stark bollock naked screaming and shouting. I told him to stop it as it would disturb the neighbours (it was only 6.30am) and he shouted that the bird had woken him up again on his only day off.
I got up at 8.30 and went on Facebook. Our area has its own Facebook page and there was a post on there about the nutter screaming and shouting at 6.30am. It must have been about DH as the times and words were identical! It had loads of replies, all angry etc saying they’d heard it too and it had woken children etc. I told him when he got up and he’s insisting that it wasn’t about him but was probably about the yobs that have been causing trouble but the wording was identical to what he was shouting!! AIBU to think it’s abdolutely obvious that the post was about him and he should recognise that??

It's a god job they didn't comment that this knob and baps were out for all to see on a Sunday morning!!

Bahhhhhumbug · 24/03/2019 20:59

It's most likely to be a blackbird, owls generally go go quiet at first light not other way round ! Your dh is a pathetic childish knobhead.

SusieOwl4 · 24/03/2019 21:03

I bet it’s a pigeon or a dove . They do the same right outside our window . It’s very annoying.and sometimes run up and down on our roof , it sounds like they have clogs on . It has driven my husband to distraction sometimes but he has never screamed out of the window naked 😳

Sparklfairy · 24/03/2019 21:05

So he screams at a bird because it woke him on his day off, but how many people did his screaming wake on their day off?

Disfordarkchocolate · 24/03/2019 21:09

We used to live within 100 feet of a church that rang its bells every 15 minutes all day and night. Within a week we stopped noticing them. Wishing we hadn't now if I could have got a picture of my husband kicking off butt makes one morning.

ivegotthisyeah · 24/03/2019 21:10

Oh my lord ive had a shit day but this has made me giggle 😂😂😂

ivegotthisyeah · 24/03/2019 21:12

@MitziK 😂😂😂😂😂

InfiniteCurve · 24/03/2019 21:14

Definately a wood pigeon. But if it really was an owl, where do you live?I'd love to hear owls from my bedroom!
That wasn't the point,was it?

PookieDo · 24/03/2019 21:15

There was a horrible sounding bird where I used to live it was so shrill and horrid. I spent ages trying to find out what type of bird it was from YouTube and bird forums and never did find out. It used to wake me up all the time and I have on occasion felt murderous about it.
But then I got my cat and she is far worse. The very instant she can tell you are awake (you can’t fake it either) she will start on you with purring crying and standing on you, usually around 5.30am

I feel his pain but also your poor neighbours!

MTGGirl · 24/03/2019 21:15

"Birdsong sort of becomes white noise when it happens often enough and you can sleep your way through it"
We live near the river and this summer a horror-bird showed up. It really likes it here. First time we heard it at 1am at night we almost called the police (not joking!) as it sounded like someone was choking a kid. Then we say this huge bird walking up and down next to the fountain and giving out this god awful noise. We still wake to it most nights. It didn't become white noise and we are quite tired by now.

Still18atheart · 24/03/2019 21:16

Grin the mental images. Reckon you could make a great sit com based around local Facebook pages

LizzyBennett · 24/03/2019 21:21

My DD (who has never been a morning person) did this once. We were woken up at dawn one morning by a voice shouting "Shup birdies"

Although, as a chubby toddler in a cot, it was probably a bit cuter than your DH

SD1978 · 24/03/2019 21:24

Having a dad who has been driven to almost the same by seagulls beating next door to them.....I kinda get where your husband was coming from. It's bloody frustrating when nature ruins your sleep in- can you invest in any noise cancelling stuff?

WoollyMummoth · 24/03/2019 21:34

I’m more disturbed by fact that your DH shouting at a bird becomes major news in your village. Goodness what next-someone being spotted lowering the tone by taking out the bin in their slippers.

UterusUterusGhali · 24/03/2019 21:37

Heuheuheu
Your DH is famous!

He needs to get over himself. He'll laugh about in in time, I'm sure.
I don't even notice the foxes (loud!), owls and pissed off cows. Townie visitors, not so much.

LellowYedbetter · 24/03/2019 21:38

Woolly, it’s a very “nosy Parker” area. So much so that our Facebook page has a pisstaking parody page which basically copies the official page posts but changes the wording to make it sound even more ridiculous than it did originally. I’m a member of both pages (as the parody is hilarious) and I’m waiting for DH and his bird antics to turn up on that too.

MorningsEleven, your post has really tickled my childish sense of humour. I laughed so hard I honked like a goose!

IHateUncleJamie · 24/03/2019 21:39

sometimes run up and down on our roof , it sounds like they have clogs on

I know; Pigeons clomp around on our roof, noisy twats.

I’ve been known to call them Knobheads but I must admit I’ve never stood naked at the window and bellowed at them. Grin

OP, this has cheered me right up. It must be referring to your DH! How can he honestly think otherwise?

LuckyLou7 · 24/03/2019 21:41

Reckon you could make a great sit com based around local Facebook pages

Seriously????

FogDog · 24/03/2019 21:43

Properly laughed at this Grin

EmeraldShamrock · 24/03/2019 21:43

I thought you were going his full frontal was on FB.
Awh well, no real harm done, you must live in a nice peaceful neighbourhood if he made the local news, or an enormous roar. Smile

S1naidSucks · 24/03/2019 21:52

Is his name Brian?

GiveMeAllTheGin8 · 24/03/2019 21:56

Grin actually in knots here Grin

hiddeneverything · 24/03/2019 21:57

Properly lolled at "honked like a goose" - watch OPs DH doesn't shout at you too!

Patroclus · 24/03/2019 22:01

Those groups are poison. Within an hour it will have morphed into a turkish drug addict stealing the local dogs
