To wish women would stop being such bitches to other women!!!

I have two recent examples:

  1. A friend - close friend - who is a raving feminist most of the time (good start) recently got together with a guy who is married. They relationship 'overlapped' with the marriage for a few months until he finally moved out of the martial home and straight into hers. Shit behaviour to the wife by both IMHO. But this friend is now ranting about the STBX wife how she is such a bitch, a psycho, how her bf was so unhappy, no sex etc etc. She has never met the STBXW. This clever, well-educated feminist friend has just lapped it all up form him and is now spouting it to me, not stopping to question the fact that there might be two sides to it etc. And now she's predictably telling her new bf he must get STBX wife to sell the house, reduce his maintenance payments etc. Unbelievable. So fucking cliched. FFS grow up you stupid woman!!!!!!
  1. A not so feminist friend came round for a chat last week. Told me how 'a good baby group friend' from when their kids was young recently got divorced. Told me all about the breakup, telling me that this woman 'did nothing' in the marriage. That her husband (an alpha male) worked all hours and provided so well for her, and yet she couldn't - yes couldn't even be bothered(!) to put a meal on the table for him in the evenings. No meal on the table, no washing done, no house cleaned despite the fact that SHE DIDN"T WORK (oh, sorry, she had a new baby at the time, forgot to mention that MINOR FUCKING FACT!). FFS!! This woman (the one telling me) is mid-30s with a career and a daughter. Jesus fucking wept!!! that is the attitude of a well-educated career woman with a daughter. Scary!

What hope is there for the future of woman kind with this sort shit being spouted from 'feminists'.

FFFFFS!

Rant over. Excuse the language. Feeling sweary. Must try harder, what poor English! ;) But you get the gist.

Please can you give me examples of more uplifting examples of behaviour from women who do support other women better than this to GIVE ME HOPE!!!

Thanks! PH

You are doing exactly what bubble is talking about

Ragnarthe · 22/03/2019 07:33

You need better friends.
Also "bitches". Really?

CalmDownPacino · 22/03/2019 07:44

Exactly what Marchinupandownagain said. Such giveaways in the OP.

HeyNannyNanny · 22/03/2019 07:45

I'd settle for people not being arseholes full stop. To women, to men, to children, to animals.

There's no excuse.

2isur2isubicurtis4me · 22/03/2019 07:46

Ironic thread? No idea if you are male or female but maybe look in the mirror before you go and trash an entire gender!

Dohangoversgetworseasyougetold · 22/03/2019 07:52

Nice goady post, OP.

Bitchiness only gets labelled bitchiness if it's a woman doing it. I've worked with guys who were compulsive gossips and backstabbers but everyone just saw them as lovely chaps who you could go for a pint with, and wasn't it great that they were so seriously about progressing in their careers? One of those lovely guys (i) nearly killed a female colleague's career - when she was supposed to be his good friend - by spreading false rumours that she'd fucked a senior colleague for advancement; and (ii) spread false rumours about another colleague, who was a black woman, saying she was aggressive and had verbally abused people senior to her. But he was just a great guy whose face really fit, you understand. Another male colleague went out of his way to isolate me by blanket refusing to reply to my emails and leaving me off important communications. He's left now but everyone still talks about what a stand-up, straightforward guy he was too.

Dohangoversgetworseasyougetold · 22/03/2019 07:54

Not that plenty of women don't have an internalised misogyny - hell, I have a mother who thought the poor wee girls murdered in Soham were asking for it. I don't there's anything "internalised" about the OP's misogyny though.

Dohangoversgetworseasyougetold · 22/03/2019 07:55

don't think

malificent7 · 22/03/2019 07:57

Surely veing horrid is a human thing rather than an exclusively female thing? But then i'm jaded.

malificent7 · 22/03/2019 07:57

Being horrid. I almost expect typos now!

HeavensToTenby · 22/03/2019 07:58

Some Olympic level selective hearing from the OP.

FrauleinF · 22/03/2019 07:59

Fair enough, the two women you mentioned haven't exactly covered themselves in glory.

Surely though in both cases, it's actually the man referenced in each scenario who has behaved worst of all though? The husband in the first case was actually the one breaking his wedding vows, and I imagine he has been very instrumental in bad mouthing his stbxw to his new woman, who has chosen to lap it up. With the second case I would bet my bottom dollar that the gossipy woman was also fed a "woe is me" story from the husband concerned that she just regurgitated to you - this bloke sounds like a real prize if he really did divorce his wife for not having dinner on the table (as if that's even the whole story)...

What hope is there for the future of mankind if this sort of shit is seen as ok!?

arseabouttit · 22/03/2019 08:02

Some humans are just shitty selfish humans.

BluebadgenPIP · 22/03/2019 08:05

You lost me at bitches.

Sparklingbrook · 22/03/2019 08:06

YABU

Deadbydaylight · 22/03/2019 08:08

Some humans are just shitty selfish humans.

This.

I don't count myself as a feminist to be honest. There's too many feminists who are all for making men the weaker sex and they basically want women to be above men. That's not equality, that's just tilting the seesaw in the other direction.

I'm all for equality done correctly. But anyone I've met that has said 'I'm a feminist' out loud usually doesn't understand what it actually is meant to mean and is just an idiot, like your first 'friend'.

Choose better friends. Both are idiots. The first one might eventually realise she has been stupid. The second one is unlikely to.

Pyjamaface · 22/03/2019 08:09

Where I work now has the biggest group of bitches I have ever known. They will backstab and complain about everything and everyone. A couple are having affairs and are vile about paying maintainence for children etc, all the behaviours you've described. All men.

I would sooner shit in my hands and clap than be friends with anyone, male or female, that behaves like they do. You need better friends

Pk37 · 22/03/2019 08:10

Will never happen .
I always thought girls would grow out of it but learnt the hard way that they just become worse women who have nothing better to do.
I always just have 1 or 2 close friends as it seems large groups always have a couple you need to be careful of

sailorsdelight · 22/03/2019 08:12

I agree with you but that includes coming on here to call other women bitches.
Do you not see the irony?
I don’t have any friends, male or female, who behave I like this BTW.

C8H10N4O2 · 22/03/2019 08:15

I wish people would stop generalising about 50% of the global population as if we were a hivemind.

I think bitchiness goes across the board, not just women, but it never fails to surprise me how mean posters are about their partners ex's on these threads. Psychos/controlling/neurotic etc etc Hmm

LoudBatPerson · 22/03/2019 08:22

People need to stop being horrid to each other, full stop.

Using the word "bitches" when complaining about women's behaviour towards each other is extremely hypocritical, and you are part of the problem also.

TheStuffedPenguin · 22/03/2019 08:25

You're doing exactly what you are complaining about !Confused
