Who should be the new James Bond.

I have started watching Turn Up Charlie. I think he would be great as Bond. Bit of a departure what with the East End accent and looking (struggling to say what I mean accurately here) . A bit rough around the edges looking rather than polished if you see what I mean. And yes. He is a non minger crush of mine😀! Or a woman. Suggestions?

Scrambled I only know Ricky Whittle from American Gods, and I didn't think he was all that, acting-wise or looks-wise, tbh, in that.

At the beginning of a JB film it clearly states “Ian Fleming’s” JB - therefore 007 has to be white male and who like women. No problem with 001-006 or 008-009 being female or black or gay or all 3 etc else but 007 has to be white male

Right age, handsome, bloody good actor. Known but not internationally so. Like Daniel Craig was.

Elba is too old. Cavill no as it's mean mixing franchises. Hiddleston too wet. Hardy too short and not suave enough I fear.

Laurence Fox or James D'arcy would suit me down to the ground. Both sexy, good actors and capable of a good amount of menace.

James McAvoy would be ace as Bond.

Before Daniel Craig was cast I always thought Dougray Scott would make a good bond. Too old now I reckon however.

I think Piers Brosnan is from Dundalk

Its Pierce Brosnan and hes from Meath,but grew up in London.

My Bond would be Zachary Quinto.Or Zac Efron.

My money is on John Boyega. Literally as I have a bet on it. I think he'd be a great James Bond and I think the world is ready for a black one. Especially as I stand to win £1,500!

John Boyega is too young and already in a mega franchise. And not actually a very good actor.

James McEvoy is a bit too fey and probably too famous from being in a mega franchise.

I agree Dougray Scott would have been good.

George Blagden... 29, British, known but not a mega-star.

He has one of those faces that can be ordinary, but also beautiful, depending on the lighting and make-up. He also has spectacular, cold blue/grey eyes, like a husky.

Aethelstan in Vikings; Louis in Versailles. Can move for fight scenes and reads very intelligent. And Google screen shots of him in just a towel in Black Mirror. :-)

The first time somebody mentioned Richard Madden, I misread it and now, every time somebody repeats his name on this thread, I can only think of Richard Madeley!
