Urgent advice re phones abroad needed. Suspicions re DH

DH flew to European city today with work. Not too unusual to happen but some things have got me thinking.

1. He bought new trainers, coat and had hair cut yesterday.
2. He text me to say not to tag him on FB as some people at work were saying this trip was a jolly. (I rarely post on FB and probably tag him about 2/3 times a year for holiday photos so this seemed really odd request).
3. I missed a call from him so rang back from my mobile. His number is saved without the international dialling numbers in my phone and it rang as normal..ie not the abroad ring tone I was expecting. Does this mean that he isn't on mainland Europe?

I said I woukd call back. Is there a way of doing this that means I could establish where he is? Hope that makes sense. TIA

What UK airport is he flying back to? I’d be checking their flight arrivals for tomorrow to see what time the flights are arriving from the country that he’s in!

I have been where you are OP and it isn't nice. Sounds extremely suspicious to me I'm afraid.

I'd be asking to see his plane ticket tomorrow. If he can't provide any evidence that he was where he says he was then you'll have your answer.

Definitely do a reverse google search. Then you'll know.

He is being so vague - I would be suspicious like you, you aren't crazy. It might be nothing at all, but I would feel weird too.

I would ask him what time his flight is tomorrow and have a look on airport website and check there is one at that time

This is exactly how I found out an ex partner was cheating on me!

As an aside, my DH works away weekly in a European city, dialling tone from mobile to his mobile is no different than if he is in the UK, although thinking about it maybe it takes slightly longer to go through.

Check all flights on the day he is returning, tell him you are keeping the day free to collect him from the airport and give him a list of duty free you would like.

He can’t give you the flight details either the original or the earlier because he’s not going to be coming back through an airport

Ask him for the flight number and check it online

Is his email account linked to the pc at home? Does he have shared location?

Why don’t you just ask the name of the hotel he’s staying in?! He’s already said that he’s not leaving the hotel tonight so he’ll be there when you ring the room, if he’s not you can ask reception to check the bar and restaurant and he’s not there then when you do speak to him and ask what he’s been doing this evening if he says he was in the room, bar or restaurant you know he’s lying because you’ve already checked!

I hope your OK Op, this has hit a nerve with me for some reason, I really want him to be on a work trip, the ideal thing would be for him to agree to facetiming the DC or provide a hotel name, flight details etc.

Are you friendly with any of his colleagues, could you call them and ask if he left something in the office you may need, his phone, laptop etc...anything you can think of that would make sense but that way you would gauge their reaction to you not being with him.

I would call up and say something like " Hi, this is ……...wife, sorry to trouble you but my DH as you know is on a work trip but he thinks he may have left his wallet in his desk, would someone be able to check just so I can reassure him"

I speak with my colleagues on their mobiles all the time. I can never tell what country they are in and I don't have international codes saved with their numbers.

I always get the longer international ring tone when we are abroad, either ringing each other or phoning these countries from the uk we are on Vodafone, Tesco and o2 networks and recent countries are, Spain, France, Italy and Switzerland. Don't know if that helps at all. None of this sits right with me though.

If i were OP i would hold back on any further questioning as potentially it will be out of the ordinary. Keep your powder dry,,gather evidence quietly otherwise you;ll scare him off and you may loose valuable information.

How do I do a reverse image check? Photos have been sent via whatsaap.
Trying to look up flights but not having much luck. As you can probably tell, I'm not very tech savvy! Might come back for help with that too.
