....how are you going to vote, would you even bother?

OP posts:
MissionItsPossible · 13/03/2019 12:52

Nope.

Alsohuman · 13/03/2019 12:54

Green. Completely pointless but I could never, ever not vote.

SmarmyMrMime · 13/03/2019 12:58

Sadly neither the Monster Raving Loony Party nor Lord Buckethead stand in my contituency.

Dunno. From someone who has only missed one council election out of all eligible voting opportunities in 20 years.

Jsmith99 · 13/03/2019 13:01

I’m one of the politically homeless. I could never vote Tory, other than as a tactical vote to keep out a hard-right BNP type candidate.

I won’t vote Labour while Corbyn is leader due to his support for and enabling of Brexit.

Therefore, I would probably vote Lib Dem / TIG.

NCforthis2019 · 13/03/2019 13:01

Yup - 100% Conservative party, as are all my family.

Whatdoesitmatteranyway · 13/03/2019 13:02

100% conservative every time

Contraceptionismyfriend · 13/03/2019 13:02

Tory

donkey86 · 13/03/2019 13:03

Conservative, though not with any joy in my heart. Better that than risk a Corbyn government.

TalkinPaece · 13/03/2019 13:03

I will always vote
but at the moment I'm not sure who for.

5foot5 · 13/03/2019 13:04

Really don't know. I have always voted and have been a bit of a floater. In the past I have voted Conservative, Labour and even Lib-Dem.

However, right now I don't think I could bring myself to vote Conservative after the total shambled they have brought on us, yet I really can't bring myself to vote Labour under Corbyn either.

If only there was some middle of the road party with moderates from both sides.......

PrettyAmazingGrace · 13/03/2019 13:06

If the new independents came out as a pro-equality party and promised safeguards for females and had their ranks swelled by enough other defectors in time for the election to make them a viable party... then I'd vote for them, no question.

Well, you did say hypothetical. In the actual event, I have no idea. I despair and fear.

CloserIAm2Fine · 13/03/2019 13:12

I voted labour in the last election but no longer have faith in them. As far as Tories go, Theresa May isn’t awful, but she can’t control the party and I can’t see her lasting long after we crash out of the EU. But the likes of Jacob Rees-Mog and Boris Johnson are horrifically vile and make my skin crawl so would never vote Tory while they’re contenders. So I’d probably vote for Labour again because voting for a party I have no faith in is better than voting for one which supports individuals with such foul views as JRM and the DUP.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 13/03/2019 13:14

Im past caring, if I'm to be 100% honest. Conservative always win anyway. For some reason the British absolutely adore them. Despite their treatment of the poor and disabled ect. I really don't understand.

ethelfleda · 13/03/2019 13:14

Green if there is a candidate.
Voted Labour last time.

If there is no Green Party option then fuck knows.

ginghambox · 13/03/2019 13:15

Conservative.

MissMalice · 13/03/2019 13:15

Green if there’s a candidate, Lib Dem if not. Unlikely to make any difference, my MP won’t be going anywhere.

HirplesWithHaggis · 13/03/2019 13:16

SNP.

Jsmith99 · 13/03/2019 13:19

The Tories didn’t win in 1997, 2001 or 2005. I should know, I was a Labour activist at the time. We were firmly on the moderate, pragmatic, pro-European centre ground of British politics and we had a leader who was a credible candidate to be Prime Minister of a G7 country. Perhaps it wasn’t surprising that we won...

NorthernRunner · 13/03/2019 13:19

I have always voted Labour and I don’t think morally I could ever vote Tory, so despite my dislike for Corbyn I would have to vote labour

Fatasfook · 13/03/2019 13:20

I can’t believe anyone would vote Tory! They are killing people with their austerity policies, they are attacking the vulnerable in society, they are dismantling all our social safety nets. They are only focused on increasing wealth for the very wealthy. They are a horrible bunch of cretins.

Angelicinnocent · 13/03/2019 13:20

Would have to be Conservative. Can't vote for Labour with corbyn in charge, don't trust the lib dems. No other parties put candidates up in this area although we do occasionally get an independent.

Warmhandscoldheart · 13/03/2019 13:20

I've always voted Labour but I'm with @ PrettyAmazingGrace. Brexit has shown all the main parties up for the shit shows they truly are

TeacupDrama · 13/03/2019 13:20

I won't vote labour with Corbyn/Momentum or SNP

it is really choosing between a rock and a hard place but thinking might have to give it a miss for first time ever in 30+ years

Marmite27 · 13/03/2019 13:22

We always have an independent stand, I vote for them usually as I don’t like the Tory direction and really really don’t like Corbyn.

Fatasfook · 13/03/2019 13:22

Vote for the party not the person. Do you prefer labour policies? Then vote labour. To not vote for labour because of Corbyn is short sighted.
