....how are you going to vote, would you even bother?

Plaid Cymru.

The absolute last thing we need now is a General Election. So bloody pointless.

Whatdoesitmatteranyway · 13/03/2019 13:47

"It feels like the UK has developed Stockholm syndrome with their continued allegiance to the Tory party. "

No, its because the average middle england voter works hard for their money and doesn't want it to taxed and given away to what ever the next trendy social liberal cause is, support people who can't be bothered to support themselves, and keep the profit of their efforts.

Its a view point.

(A) A system can be extremely helpful and liberal but there is the risk you get piss takers and free loaders

(B) A system can be harder but there is a risk some people fall through the cracks but hopefully charity can step in

I personally see the risks of A costing me and society more than B so prefer B

I’m a Labour supporter who’s not happy with them right now, but in my constituency the Tory MP (who I think is one of the better ones as a matter of fact) won by a very narrow margin, so I’d vote Labour despite my annoyance with their stance on Jews and women, which I deplore.

Tory voters vote Tory come hell or high water and I think Labour supporters should do the same.

havingtochangeusernameagain · 13/03/2019 13:51

I find it quite astonishing that people would rather vote Tory than Libdem. I also hated their betrayal on tuition fees, but really, compared with the evil the Tories have unleashed?

If Labour had Keir Starner as leader I think we'd be looking at a real alternative.

And yes, we could have had a different Brexit under Labour because they would not have had May's silly red lines. They may have had some of their own but I still think we would have had a softer Brexit that people could buy into.

Chloemol · 13/03/2019 13:53

@fatasfook. Disagree with you there, They are picking up what Labour left, ie no money for anything. Plus I admire anyone who has managed to reduce people on benefits. I would vote for whoever is prepared to deliver brexit

Onatreebyariver · 13/03/2019 13:54

Tory. Although they’re shit. Best of a bad bunch.

UnspiritualHome · 13/03/2019 13:58

Probably Lib Dem, principally because in our area it is the Lib Dem candidate who has the best chance of keeping the Conservatives out.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 13/03/2019 14:01

FlippinNorah.

Agreed 1000%

SlipperyLizard · 13/03/2019 14:01

Who knows - am generally a Labour voter but like all the other major parties they don’t understand what a woman is and what makes us need sex (not gender) based protections. Even if they came to their senses, if they have a pro-Brexit manifesto I will not vote for them - too many commentators say “but X% of voters voted for parties committed to Brexit”. Not this time. Plus Corbyn should be wiping the floor with the Tories - the fact he isn’t suggests the country isn’t interested in what he has to offer.

Would never vote for our useless Brexiter Tory MP - I’m financially fine under a Tory government, but I hate what they’ve done to this country and the vulnerable people in it.

The Lib Dems (who could actually win here) have made it very clear that they don’t want my vote if I don’t believe humans can change sex. But they’re the only party that won’t have a pro-Brexit manifesto.

The Green Party think I’m a non-man.

Possibly a spoiled ballot, which I never thought I would do.

Raspberry10 · 13/03/2019 14:07

Won’t vote Labour while Corbyn or MacDonald are in control. Lib Dems or.maybe Green? I honestly don’t know.

Fridakahlofan · 13/03/2019 14:08

Green

92AP · 13/03/2019 14:09

I would love to vote Green but I fear a vote for anyone other than Labour is a essentially a vote for the Torries and that fills me with dread.

DennisSkinnersMolotov · 13/03/2019 14:11

My username is probably a giveaway...

Redrupunzle · 13/03/2019 14:13

Conservative

Sockwomble · 13/03/2019 14:15

Labour. I don't like Corbyn but my MP is ok.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 13/03/2019 14:17

Absolutely no idea.

There is NO ONE I want to vote for.

capaciousbladder · 13/03/2019 14:21

I live in a very Tory area and have voted a few different ways in the past....no one represents my views, the Tories are in disarray and Corbyn scares me. I'd love for our 2 party system to be assigned to history with more independents entering politics. Failing that, I second Labour under Keir Starmer.

Treaclesweet · 13/03/2019 14:24

Labour. Anything else is a continuation of austerity & death knell for NHS.

Guavaf1sh · 13/03/2019 14:24

Another one for Plaid Cymru

Justanotherlurker · 13/03/2019 14:25

No Idea

Not Labour with Corbyn and his front bench, definitely not Green as its ironically a waste of paper with their non sequitur policies. Not Conservative so looks like lib dem or Independent.

YouWereRight · 13/03/2019 14:28

Green, but then that's not unusual.

Waspnest · 13/03/2019 14:30

I think for the first time ever I probably wouldn't vote (and in my lifetime I have voted for all parties except UKIP) unless there was a decent independent candidate. It would feel hypocritical to vote for anyone when they all seem like a bunch of twats.

Fluffyears · 13/03/2019 14:40

SNP it helps get scotland noticed...hello yes that bit at the top of England!

AbsolutelyValidNonBullshit · 13/03/2019 14:48

Where I live it's pointless. Safest of all Tory seats, never been anything but Tory. Labour barely exist and while LibDems come second they are so far behind they'd need the biggest swing in political history to even get close to taking the seat.

If I had been Tory, I couldn't in good conscience forgive them for bringing this shower of shit upon us when it didn't need to happen in the first place, but if it had to happen, to handle it so incompetently.

If I had been Labour, I couldn't in good conscience vote for them at the present as they have an incredible inept shadow cabinet and the fact that they don't seem to be presenting a reasonable opposition to the worst Government in living memory doesn't help.

I am so disgusted with the state of politics in our country and am totally disenfranchised I'm not sure I will vote again unless PR came in when at least a vote for an Independent/LibDem/Green might actually count.

Lexilooo · 13/03/2019 14:48

My MP is an ERG nutter in a very safe seat so it doesn't make much difference but probably lib dem just to get the message across that I don't support Brexit
