....how are you going to vote, would you even bother?

OP posts:
Peanutbutterforever · 13/03/2019 16:30

Conservative, but joylessly.

wasabiaddiction · 13/03/2019 16:32

Conservative.

notangelinajolie · 13/03/2019 16:33

I would vote for the party that supports Brexit.

birdsandroses · 13/03/2019 16:36

Labour’s policies beat Tory’s policies for me so Labour it is.

mrsm43s · 13/03/2019 16:42

Perhaps foolishly, I would base my vote on the election pledges.

I'm currently politically homeless, and feel let down by all parties.

GrouchyKiwi · 13/03/2019 16:58

Maybe Scottish Conservatives but more likely to spoil my ballot.

TalkinPaece · 13/03/2019 17:00

If the UK had a form of proportional representation then
every vote would count
Under the current system an MP can get elected with 25% of the vote
surely
making sure that the voice of every voter is heard
should be the way to go ?

Idonotlikeyoudonaldtrump · 13/03/2019 17:01

Labour. As an ‘anything but’ vote.

cranberrymoon · 13/03/2019 17:02

I'm a floater but couldn't vote for Corbyn. Independent group if they become a party.

e1y1 · 13/03/2019 17:04

would be a cold day in hell before I voted Tory

This, I happily pay more taxes so that there is a safety net and believe it or not, I think we need public services.

Tory have already put 1000s in the ground with austerity and another round of dimwits saying "we're all in this together" whilst fiddling expenses left right and centre and magically find money when they need it, is more than I can bear. Besides it being certain death for the NHS.

I'd literally eat my own shit before putting a X next to Tory.

PinkPupZ · 13/03/2019 17:04

Labour

Babdoc · 13/03/2019 17:05

I have to vote Tory as I’m in a very very marginal seat (SNP majority of 27 over the Tories), and I don’t want the bloody SNP getting back in!

Deadbydaylight · 13/03/2019 17:07

Doesn't matter who I vote for, I will get snp regardless.

InsertFunnyUsername · 13/03/2019 17:10

Over my dead body i would vote tory.

And labour is a shit show candidate.

Prob draw a big fat middle finger on my paper 😩

SherlockSays · 13/03/2019 17:12

I would vote for Green.. had they not abstained from a very important vote in my area at the last council meeting - a vote that was to build 31 thousand houses on green belt of all things!

So, I don't have a bloody clue. I've always been a Tory voter until the last GE where I voted Labour, which I couldn't do again.

Dapplegrey · 13/03/2019 17:12

So I guess it’s a pointless vote for the Lib Dem’s.

Surely if enough people also vote for Libdems then they will get in. Also, as so many people are angry about Brexit, then surely the Libdems vote will be increased at the next election as they’ve promised to revoke Brexit.

Scunnered03 · 13/03/2019 17:13

SNP

ddl1 · 13/03/2019 17:14

LibDem: I have a LibDem MP whom I like; I'm not a fan of Corbyn; and like the Tories, especially in their current incarnation, still less.

OwlBeThere · 13/03/2019 17:15

Is blowing up parliament an option? So we can do a designated survivor job and start again?

mummymeister · 13/03/2019 17:22

The current 650 or so MP's have shown themselves to be completely incapable of either:

a) understanding the issues around Brexit.
b) dealing with anti Semitism
c) protecting the rights of women
d) thinking of other people outside of their own party bubble

So, make me PM and I will bring in a law that says all 650 current MP's are forbidden from standing for re-election and we want 50 people who have never been MP's before.

that should shake it all up a bit.

the only positive that I can see at the moment is that in 20 - 30 years time the current group of teenagers having seen the incredibly low threshold that there are in the HoC will be more engaged in politics, be thoughtful and stand for election and we might get a HoC that respects democracy and puts country before party and self. But, I will probably be dead by then. Still, you can hope.

mummymeister · 13/03/2019 17:23

650 not 50 - fat typing fingers strike again.

mrsmuddlepies · 13/03/2019 17:26

Lib Dem without a doubt

marvellousnightforamooncup · 13/03/2019 17:26

I like my Labour MP so would probably vote for him. Not sold on Corbyn but better than Tories.

SafetyLightsAreForDudes · 13/03/2019 17:29

TIG, in the unlikely event they stand a candidate in my constituency. Not because I think they would win (I'm in a Labour safe seat) but to send a message that something has to change. Probably Lib Dem if not - but only because I can't not vote.

I am generally a Lib Dem or Green voter - the Greens didn't stand here last time, and the Lib Dems are not particularly appealing atm. I voted Labour last time for the first time ever (in spite of Corbyn, rather than because of him) in a vote swap - but this has been interpreted in Parliament recently as supporting a pro-Brexit party so I won't make that mistake again. If I was still in Scotland I would probably vote SNP (something I never did when I actually lived there) but as it is I feel there are very few options.

Nat6999 · 13/03/2019 17:35

I would vote Labour, no point in voting anything else, I live in a Labour stronghold, have a brilliant MP who works very hard.
