Is my neighbour a serial killer?

Iltavilli · 09/03/2019 23:49

We live in a bog standard 3 bed semi. Our attached neighbour has a kitchen extension but also a small brick built outhouse (1920s house so not standard).
Our dog seems obsessed with the outhouse. The neighbour is in her late 70s, has lived here for 30+ years, no close family seem to visit. She’s a fab neighbour but should we accept she’s a likely serial killer?

(Not serious for those easily offended)

😂😂😂

WideLane · 11/03/2019 21:12

Although as he doesn't wear his suit, single breasted or otherwise when engaged in serial killer activity, it's possible you missed him

Iltavilli · 11/03/2019 21:13

@WideLane Jeff disputes this claim

Is my neighbour a serial killer?

(His defence is stupidity)

He needs no defence. Look at him. He's friggin adorabubble.

WideLane · 11/03/2019 21:22

Jeff is a master criminal. He's got the lovable puppy dog eyes and lolly tongue nailed. But those of us who have hunted serial killers who are dogs are not so easily fooled by such things.

manicmij · 12/03/2019 00:14

Is she friendly with the ones who are moving? Printing money in the shed to give them to buy their gated palace, or may be rats!

Vivianebrezilletbrooks · 12/03/2019 01:47

Don't go sniffing round there, you'll be next on her list.
If the dog vanishes start panicking. Grin

Honeydewbiscuits · 12/03/2019 02:26

You'd know if it was rats because they are brave and will think nothing of spreading into your garden. We have a dog and he is big but scared of rats .

A flue in the shed? Someone lives in there maybe? Or it's covering an underground entrance to a huge tunnel and rooms.

Ask her. Say ' what's in the shed!' And make her go in front of you.

Alternatively purchase a small hamster cage and bemoan looking after little x hamster whilst they are in hols. Wait a few days then open the back door, let out a scream and run about the garden hysterically. Peer over the fence at the ground/ shed.

Go round and say hamster escaped and is in her shed. Go immediately to look, don't give her time to clear evidence.

Jeff is a bloke
He did it

pineapplebryanbrown · 12/03/2019 08:53

Actually Jeff is sick of all of you accusing him of being a cereal killer and having leprosy of the cock.

He's been rehomed, I've taken him to Thighland and he's now a vicar.

Iltavilli · 12/03/2019 20:20

@thighofrelief101 sadly Jeff has rejected the way of the Lord, and as well instructed is a fan of death metal. He worships the dark side

Is she digging rectangular holes in her garden at night?

CheshireChat · 15/03/2019 00:10

Maybe she was hoping Jeff would lend a paw with all the digging.

Iltavilli · 18/03/2019 20:09

Our parcel of dog food (due tomorrow when I’m working at home) has come today. They’ve left it with the neighbour.
DP was home from work at 4:45, and knocked on but no answer.
Whilst making a meal, she has just knocked on in her pink velour dressing gown asking us to pick up the parcel. Do I send DP round?!

VelociraptorRex · 18/03/2019 20:51

Only if you're not bothered about seeing him again??
(Pink velour dressing gown outside? Very suspicious...)

SchadenfreudePersonified · 24/03/2019 11:55

It has been some time since we heard from OP - should I call the police?

Imoan123 · 28/03/2019 09:51

Probably has her husband buried there.

Monday55 · 28/03/2019 10:02

Maybe her husband is deceased and she hasn't called or told anyone about it yet.

There was a news story of something similar of an old couple when one died and the other couldn't let go and didn't alert the police for weeks.

DontCallMeCharlotte · 28/03/2019 10:07

You'd know if it was rats because they are brave and will think nothing of spreading into your garden. We have a dog and he is big but scared of rats .

When we lived next door to a farm, one harvest time there was a MASSIVE rat in our front garden. We had two voracious killer-cats (make of that what you will) but they were having an afternoon nap. So we pointed the came-with-the-house 23 year feral old cat at the rat (which to be fair wasn't smaller than the cat). She looked at the rat. She looked at us. And I swear if that cat could have talked she would have said, very slowly, "Fuck. Off."

(Said rat was later seen in the road. Flat as a pancake.)

zoellafortitude · 28/03/2019 10:11

If she gets a patio done, then I would really start to worry, OP!
