To ask who is the longest serving contributor to Mumsnet

I've lurked for ages but only fairly recently plucked up the courage to contribute. Noticed the Podcast thread about how it all started and just wondered who is the longest serving member and how many of the first contributors are still here? Might be difficult to find out I guess or maybe not, I'm no expert on these matters!

8yrs ago i never thought i would have met someone else, be a mummy to a 2yr in 2w and getting married again next year

The old days were grand. The meetup organised by Frank was fab. Getorf, Pag and Mrs DeVere were there too. And Hully, and Hearts and Beachy and TheTripletsMum amongst many others Cointreau, Pistey too. So many lovely people

I’ve met quite a lot of MNers in real life. Two that I met in Paris when I lived there became close friends. I went on holiday with MotherInferior last year, and am going out for dinner with her and some others next week.

I’m amazed it’s been going as long as 2003.

I’m only 33 and found out about it when I was having relationship troubles probably around 2009

Baby blondes will be 2 - in 2weeks

Only the one miracle for me - and forever grateful for her as she took 10yrs and 5 ivf (for those who don’t know me on mn lol)

I’m almost 46 so too old for no 2 and tbh don’t want another

I can spoil my rugrat and give her what she wants - and what we like doing - holidays in the sun

I’m back at work doing a job I love (nights as a mn) and days spent with my daughter :)

two children would stop that

I joined in January 2009, DS1 was three months old, his dad was awful, MN Relationships was pretty instrumental in me seeing the light on that. Later met now DH, moved to Germany, now have 6 month old DS2!

I remember reading about those meet ups and wishing I'd been brave enough to go but I always felt like a baby in the early years of MN as I was 20 and most people were older than me. Also when I was with XP he wouldn't have let me go to any meet up in London and it took me ages to get my head around the fact that once I was on my own I was actually allowed to go out and do whatever I liked. But was also a single mum then so hard to get to meet ups.

I first registered around 2007 I think.

There was a data breach maybe around 5 years ago and I couldn't get back into my account due to it being linked to an old email account that was defunct.

So I registered as a new member around 2014.

Have name changed a few times, but only temporarily to post on a specific topic and not wanting to give away too many crucial details as my normal name
