To ask who is the longest serving contributor to Mumsnet

I've lurked for ages but only fairly recently plucked up the courage to contribute. Noticed the Podcast thread about how it all started and just wondered who is the longest serving member and how many of the first contributors are still here? Might be difficult to find out I guess or maybe not, I'm no expert on these matters!

12 ish years (I think) and numerous name changes!

2009 took a break, back in 2011. Couple of namechanges

I think I joined in 2010 and my first meet up was the Boris Bike one, was that when we first shared a room @catinboots99?

I had promised @BellaVita a hug which I insisted on delivering which she was very gracious about!

Those overnight meet ups were the nuts (and nuts!)

I remember you getting lost too @Blondeshavemorefun* although it might have been a different occasion.

I've been wondering how you are @magimedi, I miss you on the phalanx threads, we're having to pour our own gin now, which is a bit taxing

I think I organised that Xmas meet. 2011? My name was AngryFeet then and me and someone
called Custy (custardo?) organised it together. I can't remember the pub but it was in a room downstairs and there was shit loads of food. Riven was there I believe?

I’ve been here since 2004 , only name changed for outing in RL or TMI prettybird I remember from way back as you are a south sider and I’m a west ender

Oh and Mrs badger my go to for fashion stuff. Haven’t seen her about for years now

I've been here since about 2003 so a long time.
I've had quite a few name changes, sometimes change back to them.

It's changed a lot it's much more entertaining now

12/13 years. Mostly hung out on the sn board originally- there were more posters with kids with cp way back. I do wonder about Riven sometimes and I hope she and C are doing okay. It was spectacularly rough when she left.
Forces Sweethearts used to be waaaaaay busier too.
I took an mn break over Moldie Christmas and came back on in the new year to absolute mayhem.

Whats SN boards?

mamaryllis - Riven's husband is very active on twitter and sometimes mentions them (C more than R) - sounds like they are doing OK, though always ups and downs with health.

@Titsywoo, that’s the one I left my phone at 😤. Got all the way back to the hotel and realised I didn’t have it. @Trills and ShirleyKnott helped me get it back. We rang the venue and one of the bar staff trecked halfway across London to meet us with it.

There was much dancing going on at that meet up. Was a grand night.

When DS was a tiny baby, he’s off to uni this year. Many name changes first was Lynli.

Busy Tante!! thank you for asking. Mrs Pan is very happy and I am doing all to keep it that way. Marriage takes a lot of getting used to. 🙂

I have had loads of usernames and email addresses but remember my first ever deletion was after telling Kerrymum she was talking rubbish. The comment was deleted and that made me realise that some posters were definitely "more equal than others" at the time.
KM and I became quite good friends after that tbh, and she would rib me about having the power to get me deleted.
My longest username was Bucharest. (Hi to Peridot1- at least people no longer confuse us!)
I worked with a Mouldie but when she told me what her username was I was disappointed not to recognise it. Not one of the Twiglett/LL names anyways.

Pleased to see that despite some people's best efforts this thread hasn't turned into a "let's slag AF off"

17 years. One name change.

I’ve been here since at least 2001 when pregnant with ds2. Might not have been on this account as had a different user name that had my actual name in it.

Have met some great friends through Mumsnet. Some who have remained online only and some who I have met in real life. Have also met some real freaky worrying people who turned out to be practically stalkers.

On the whole it’s been a supportive place and even though my youngest is now double figures I still browse a few categories a couple of times a week.

I'm still about, though hardly post these days. Lurked first but first posted 2002 number is 9080.

@Mmmmbrekkie - the usual arsehole behaviour from her newly ex-partner, who was deliberately messing with her head, but she was in a particularly vulnerable situation with no family at all in the UK. She came and spent one night with me, then another week with another MNetter who turns out to be living quite close to me.

As I said, I don't think I'd do it now!
