Is this inappropriate?

Won’t identify myself as keen to garner responses.

Person A organises free drinks at a pub near their work for a workplace hobby society they are a part of eg Watersports Club. They invite B and C from their actual work. B and C have nothing in common with the others (both female, the others aren’t; fair bit younger than the others etc) but end up staying on for drinks at the event until late into the evening. They mainly chat to each other but also mingle with the group.

Has anyone behaved inappropriately in these circumstances?

I read all this thread hoping to understand. Nope.

screamifyouwant · 08/03/2019 20:33

I've just wasted a few minutes of my time reading this and I'm not sure what's happened Hmm
It's like yesterday's bbq/Hermes thread again . I think people should stop drinking before they start a thread Grin

donquixotedelamancha · 08/03/2019 20:50

I’m going for the Bernard theory and OP is Betty.

Nope you are all wrong. OP is Bernard. He is annoyed that these two young women drank all the free drinks, but declined to participate in the 'watersports club'.

Bernard, you should have been clearer that the drinks were not really free and that you expected more than just a little 'mingling'. Not everyone likes 'watersports'.

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 08/03/2019 20:51

I don't think the current trend of being so secretive/convoluted with your AIBU is helpful-like the "reverse" the other day.

I honestly can't tell what has happened or what is supposed to be inappropriate. And now knowing OP is a wife but not one of the above makes it worse....

proudbrows · 08/03/2019 21:04

Wtaf

ReanimatedSGB · 08/03/2019 21:06

Is someone whining because these two young women accepted the invitation, enjoyed the drinks, but didn't realise they were supposed to show their appreciation by sucking dick in the carpark?

IWantChocolates · 08/03/2019 21:07

I haven't rtft, so sorry if this has been mooted already, but I reckon OP is one of the young women's wife, someone has complained about the two women being there drinking free drinks, the woman has come home and moaned about it and OP is her wife who doesn't think her SO was unreasonable but wanted to come on here to check.

Belenus · 08/03/2019 21:13

We need a fucking diagram!!!

I think if their fucking was so complex you need a diagram, it's not surprising A * is upset.

  • Or D, or whoever the hell it is that's upset is upset. Is it Betty from accounts? Marjorie from the WI? I'm confused and lost the plot.
IamAporcupine · 08/03/2019 21:15

@DancerOnIce - me!

Bringbackthestripes · 08/03/2019 21:31

MatildaTheCat posted the pic that depicted what I thought the problem with A inviting B & C was.

ShirleyPhallus · 08/03/2019 22:21

Looking forward to the drip

hiddeneverything · 08/03/2019 22:36

Cmon - it's past my bedtime and I want to know what happened/what didn't happen

Linzbe · 08/03/2019 23:52

I think this may be the most pointless thread I've read on AIBU......

ToftyAC · 09/03/2019 00:20

No

Dalamane · 09/03/2019 01:57

Haven't read all the thread but i'm guessing the OP is the wife of one of the men at the club who perhaps enjoyed an evening at a members only club entertained somewhat by 2 young women who seemed to be on the pull. Can understand how you feel - men behaved like bees round a honey pot.

Loolol64 · 09/03/2019 07:33

I used to write porn for a watersports site. Hmmm ...

GoFiguire · 09/03/2019 07:41

My other thread is a lot llama.

Wallsbangers · 09/03/2019 07:44

Melania, is that you?

Witchwobbleknees · 09/03/2019 08:57

Why is this listed on the Hot Threads email!?
I've just read 7 pages and still no clearer!

manicmij · 09/03/2019 09:43

A being a member inviting two non members is out of order unless contributed something towards the costs incurred by non members being there. What would be the opinion if all other members had invited two guests each? Wouldn't be much left in the kitty!

Franklymydearidontgiveaham · 09/03/2019 09:50

Ahh.....OP's oh invited 2 young ladies from work to drink with him and his mates at their club. It went on later than usual and when the wives wonder why it transpires there were 2 young women with them and now they're blaming your husband for inviting women to drink with their husbands. At the same time as wondering whether it was their husbands interest in 1 (or both) of them that kept them so late. Each husband is saying they barely spoke to the girls so each wife is wondering which husband is lying......Wink

Butchyrestingface · 09/03/2019 10:08

Had OP received a unanimous “You are soooooo not being unreasonable, hunz”, I doubt she’d be maintaining radio silence with regards to clarification of the issue.

More likely there’d be no shutting her up. Hmm

stopitandtidyupp · 09/03/2019 10:41

If I belonged to a group and a member bought guests. I don't think I would be too happy. I would get over it pretty quickly though.

Loopytiles · 09/03/2019 11:51

Is this a fresh form of goady fuckery?

JangledBat · 09/03/2019 13:27

Is that it?
