To be shocked BREXIT is going to affect cancer treatment?

Just listening to the BBC radio news and they were interviewing an oncologist who said that because of worries about getting hold of enough isotopes straight after BREXIT, Drs have been advised by the Government to book less people into their clinics for both diagnosis and treatment.
This will mean longer waits for diagnosis and treatment from some patients. I was taken aback that such a serious medical issue is being affected.

Lets stop feeding the male under bridge dweller shall we?

TheElementsSong · 08/03/2019 13:21

Once again, I shall greet any new undecided lurkers, who I'm sure are feeling very reassured when a poster with such a powerful grasp of basic facts, promises you that complex matters of medical treatment regimes are all going to be fiiiiiiiinnneee. Right?

And then I shall remind everyone of the teachings of Bunbury.

lonelyplanetmum · 08/03/2019 13:26

Fab Elements I'd forgotten Bunburying!

"Nothing will induce me to part with Bunbury, and if you ever get married, which seems to me extremely problematic, you will be very glad to know Bunbury. A man who marries without knowing Bunbury has a very tedious time of it.”

twofingerstoEverything · 08/03/2019 13:28

To clarify, I have nothing against anyone claiming any benefit to which they are entitled and it seems MrsMissedTheBoat is working here if we can believe anyything Mr-Tax-Avoiding-Non-UK-dwelling(except for if s/he needs the NHS)Brexit-Won't-Hurt-Me-That's-Why-I-Love-It says. I just feel embarrassed for him shouting his support for Brexit while making racist comments. Prime Gammon.

I have an urge to read The Importance of Being Earnest Now Smile

lonelyplanetmum · 08/03/2019 13:34

Me too- I think DD is old enough to find it funny- I may try suggesting it!

Bearbehind · 08/03/2019 13:36

Goodness me - some people have absolutely no shame do they?

How on earth can you make such glaring misstatements yet continue without the slightest embarrassment?

It’s not hard to see why some people think some Leavers are a little hard of thinking is it?

missedtheboat you are not doing your cause any favours at all.

Sheogorath · 08/03/2019 13:37

"Next door neighbor in the apartment block I lived in was from England."

Not what I meant. You said Scotland was part of England therefore everyone native to Edinburgh is English.

Did you call them sweaty jocks too? Or do you only have the balls to make racist comments when hiding behind anonymity on the internet.

Or maybe you're just a troll (even a paid Russian one) and I'm playing into your hands.

lonelyplanetmum · 08/03/2019 13:40

I think one can see off fiction with fiction:

Lady Bracknell: I think it is high time that Mr. Bunbury made up his mind whether he was going to live or to die. This shilly-shallying with the question is absurd. Nor do I in any way approve of the modern sympathy with invalids. I consider it morbid. Illness of any kind is hardly a thing to be encouraged in others. Health is the primary duty of life.

lonelyplanetmum · 08/03/2019 13:41

Gwendolen: I have the gravest doubts upon the subject. But I intend to crush them. This is not the moment for German scepticism.

MissedTheBoatAgain · 08/03/2019 13:42

Don’t remember saying everyone native to Edinburgh is English.

Sheogorath · 08/03/2019 13:55

You said Scotland was part of England. Therefore everyone Scottish is also English.

It's almost 5pm in Moscow so I suppose your shift is about to end. Oh well.

MissedTheBoatAgain · 08/03/2019 13:56

In general terms what percentage division of assets, maintenance payments happened between you and your ex W given you are clearly successful with accountants and all ?

Ex received less than she expected, but what’s new about that. She was Applicant and was required to prove her case. However, she had no proof so her application for a lifetime of maintenance failed
