To be shocked BREXIT is going to affect cancer treatment?

cantbearsed1 · 06/03/2019 07:49

Just listening to the BBC radio news and they were interviewing an oncologist who said that because of worries about getting hold of enough isotopes straight after BREXIT, Drs have been advised by the Government to book less people into their clinics for both diagnosis and treatment.
This will mean longer waits for diagnosis and treatment from some patients. I was taken aback that such a serious medical issue is being affected.

@TheElementsSong - Let's just remember this beautiful moment again:

Was GFA approved internationally? I thought it was Deal made between the English and Irish governments?

@MissedTheBoatAgain really has all the awards for most uninformed poster tied up, doesn't (s)he?

UnspiritualHome · 08/03/2019 12:02

As stated by @MissedTheBoatAgain - I don't remember EU objecting to no hard border in Ireland in 1998 so why is it one of their redlines now?

Sorry, I just need to boggle at this one again

How about the sheer joy of the one where @MissedTheBoatAgain moaned that MEPs aren't elected?

TheElementsSong · 08/03/2019 12:09

Meanwhile, dear undecided lurkers, I'm sure you're feeling very reassured when a poster with such a powerful grasp of basic facts, promises you that complex matters of medical treatment regimes are all going to be fiiiiiiiinnneee. Right?

SparklySneakers · 08/03/2019 12:10

I don't remember EU objecting to no hard border in Ireland in 1998 so why is it one of their redlines now?

Would you care to expand on this @MissedTheBoatAgain ?

prettybird · 08/03/2019 12:11

I like this one Entitlement to; child benefit, child tax credit and working tax credit is not related to what the other partner earns. Grinalthough it is minor in comparison with his other clangers Wink

One wonders what he is paying his shit hot accountants if that is what he believes Shock if of course he is real Wink

doIreallyneedto · 08/03/2019 12:11

They still haven't answered the question I've asked repeatedly:

@MissedTheBoatAgain - Do you think it is acceptable for the UK to break an international peace agreement in order to deliver a no deal Brexit?

MissedTheBoatAgain · 08/03/2019 12:16

If posts hit 1,000 I will like them all.

SparklySneakers · 08/03/2019 12:20

Its not Facebook you muppet Hmm

MissedTheBoatAgain · 08/03/2019 12:28

It is correct when partners divorce. Google it if you wish.

SparklySneakers · 08/03/2019 12:31

I can see why you're divorced.

MissedTheBoatAgain · 08/03/2019 12:33

Do you think it is acceptable for the UK to break an international peace agreement in order to deliver a no deal Brexit?

If the voters want a no deal they will have to take the risk of a hard border in Ireland. Can’t please everyone at the same time.

Lweji · 08/03/2019 12:34

Missedtheboatagain, I'll bet you £100 for you to win if you get a thread with 1001 posts or more.

good thing the app bug has been fixed

MissedTheBoatAgain · 08/03/2019 12:39

I can see why you're divorced

Ex Wife is happy enough. She would never have received the same generous benefits in her native country.

MissedTheBoatAgain · 08/03/2019 12:45

good thing the app bug has been fixed

My App has not been updated for a very long time. My version of the App shows the number of posts

Lweji · 08/03/2019 12:48

There's a 1000 post limit, hun.

MissedTheBoatAgain · 08/03/2019 12:53

And what stops someone starting another thread with the same subject title?

Sheogorath · 08/03/2019 13:09

"The short time I did live in the UK was in Edinburgh"

Did your neighbors know you thought you they were all English?

You don't have to respond now, I can wait until the next Russian working day.

twofingerstoEverything · 08/03/2019 13:10

missedTheBoat. Such a charmer. High earner employing tax accountants to ensure s/he pays minimal tax while planning to sponge off the NHS if s/he gets sick, despite it being a residency-based service. Happy to see non-EU, ex-wife live off UK benefits (presumably the children are resident with her otherwise she wouldn't get these) while he sits behind a computer screen making racist comments and cheerleading about Brexit, which will never affect him/her.

MissedTheBoatAgain · 08/03/2019 13:12

Next door neighbor in the apartment block I lived in was from England.

MissedTheBoatAgain · 08/03/2019 13:14

Child stays with their mother so she is entitled to;

Child benefit
Child tax credit
Working Tax credit
Council Tax discount as only adult in house

lonelyplanetmum · 08/03/2019 13:14

Glad you back Missed. In general terms what percentage division of assets, maintenance payments happened between you and your ex W given you are clearly successful with accountants and all ?

lonelyplanetmum · 08/03/2019 13:16

Also please explain why it's ok for you to live abroad but it's not ok for others to do so.

UnspiritualHome · 08/03/2019 13:16

If the voters want a no deal they will have to take the risk of a hard border in Ireland. Can’t please everyone at the same time.

Announcing to the world that we can't be trusted to honour agreements in treaties we have signed has rather more serious implications that failing to please everyone.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 08/03/2019 13:19

two

I think thats pretty much nailed it

Bit embarrassing really

prettybird · 08/03/2019 13:19

Obviously, given that he was such a good husband, he is paying little, if any, maintenance to his ex-wife, even though he earns lots of money that he keeps away from the tax man (of any and all countries that he lives in ).

Such a shining example of manhood Grin
