Holly Willougbys boobs on Dancing On Ice Tonight.

There is this women on Twitter going on about how it’s not ok for “family viewing” before the watershed?

How the hell is a bit of cleavage offensive to children?

Am I being dim here? I can’t see anything offensive about it at all?

I don't love the dress, but I think she looks as good in it as anyone would (and a hell of a lot better than I would...!) and it's certainly not going to scar any children.

Some people give me the rage when they try to 'ned flanders' everything

Love this Grin

DishingOutDone · 24/02/2019 21:32

I thought it was the single worst thing I've ever seen her in, it looked so uncomfortable, no support looked like her breasts were being pulled down and out, and the straps were cutting under her arms.

But not offensive.

PunkrockerGirl59 · 24/02/2019 21:35

She's beautiful. Her hair could have been coloured and styled better but who cares when the finished result is that stunning.

RomanyQueen1 · 24/02/2019 21:38

It looks like it's ill fitting isn't the v supposed to frame the cleavage, or is it supposed to be underneath. It looks like it needs hoiking up, to fit better.

PooleySpooley · 24/02/2019 21:38

The thing is, Claudia has no boobs so Holly would not look good in what she wears.

Most of the posts are saying the dress is not nice, not that she has a terrible figure, she looks amazing most of the time, but that dress looks hideous

Again it's the dress that is horrible not Holly

MumW · 24/02/2019 21:50

It's not offensive but I don't think it is particularly flattering.

picklemepopcorn · 24/02/2019 21:50

Was it threatening to move all the time? The way it fits so low makes her boobs look low, it's sort of on her rather than around her as though she could turn and move out of the bodice. That would be distracting.

Girlsnightin · 24/02/2019 21:54

Boob shaming.

lifetothefull · 24/02/2019 21:56

Absolutely bertandrussell
I'm not offended by it, but why does she need to have such a low cut dress to present a show?

StopMakingAFoolOutofMe · 24/02/2019 22:01

I find it too sexy for family viewing

What an odd statement. Are you expecting little children to be sexually aroused by a person in a dress? Get help.

Do your children watch sports? Swimmers? Gymnasts? You'd better stop that too, as there's far more flesh on show.

DSHathawayGivesMeFannyGallops · 24/02/2019 22:09

I don't think it's especially well cut but it's hardly offensive!! I had a fair amount of boobage on show myself in a ball gown recently, at a Burns Night Ball with reels and managed not to flash my FFs at anyone. So I think a fairly static presenting gig is hardly likely to reveal anything raunchy. Kim Ks "dress" though 🤮

SparklyLeprechaun · 24/02/2019 22:23

That dress is offensive to the eye, it's so damn fugly. Holly's got a lovely figure, that thing does nothing for her.

StarlightLady · 24/02/2019 22:27

The female breast should be one of the first things a child sees. It is never offensive apart from those with warped minds.

jasmine1971 · 24/02/2019 22:34

Well I for one don't want to see it. I'm blessed in the boob department too but I keep them covered. And I choose not to watch the programme because of Holly W. Which is a shame, as I love Torvill and Dean.

TwitterQueen1 · 24/02/2019 22:39

I didn't find it offensive, just unnecessary. I don't want to see Holly's mostly naked upper body on a programme about ice-skating. This thread is evidence of the fact that many people were focusing more on what she wasn't wearing than on the skaters - which to me means the purpose of wearing it is defeated. Why does she feel the need to wear something so revealing? Thank God Philip was dressed!

flamingofridays · 24/02/2019 22:54

Why does she feel the need to wear something so revealing

For one thing, its probably not even her choice what she wears. For two, why shouldn't she wear something that she, presumably, feels good in?

Its only offensive if you want it to be and it says a lot more about the complainers view of the sexualisation of womens bodies than the woman who is simply wearing a dress.

whitehorsesdonotlie · 24/02/2019 22:54

The pic on the right has been photoshopped!

Catinthetwat · 24/02/2019 23:02

what an odd statement. Are you expecting little children to be sexually aroused by a person in a dress? Get help.

Um, no. If you read my post, what I said was it demonstrates the sexualisation of women Vs men.

But I don't really follow your point, are you saying you don't think the dress was sexy? Or that it was, but sexiness is fine for kids?

earlyrisingcat · 25/02/2019 07:41

Not offensive, but it didn't look great. Holly is attractive, but that was not a good look IMO. And yes, bizarrely, the pic on the right is photoshopped!

Birdsgottafly · 25/02/2019 07:50

"If you read my post, what I said was it demonstrates the sexualisation of women Vs men."

That's always a valid point. As is the lack of female presenters who aren't 'sexy' according to a majority of Men. Look at the older, well qualified to judge, who are dropped.

Some of the outfits the Women presenters on X Factor wore, were close to them being naked.

If the Women want to wear the clothes and there isn't pressure, that's different.

But looking at HW on other nights, at other events, that dress isn't her usual style. It doesn't fit well, so where did it come from and who was it chosen by?

BertrandRussell · 25/02/2019 07:51

Actually, I do think that in a programme watched by loads of little girls, they ought to think of the message they’re sending.

Birdsgottafly · 25/02/2019 07:51

That should have been, Look at the older, well qualified to judge, women, who are dropped from shows.

FriarTuck · 25/02/2019 08:03

I'd be worry about an accident occurring but there's nothing remotely wrong with it. To be honest it's not even really screaming sex appeal either - I'm not even warm under the collar looking at it. Now a dress that pushed them up & together.....

Purplecatshopaholic · 25/02/2019 08:16

I don't particularly rate the woman and I didn't much like the dress, but its not offensive - some people really need to get out more!
