I am glad that this monster has been named publicly. The idea that he would have been protected after murdering Alesha MacPhail made me sick. His picture is all over the news now.

I think so too spam. She may have been looking at the cctv in the hope something might assuage her suspicions but I would imagine she’d had a bad feeling.

Poor woman.

It’s also made me think about the thread a few weeks ago about loving your kids or partner more and the people saying they’d have unconditional love for their kids no matter what. I certainly wouldn’t love my kid any more if he’d done this, he be dead to me.

I read that his mothers life has been shattered ( no surprise there ). Marriage has broken down, on sleeping meds and can't sell the house as no local estate agents want to deal to with it.

As I said earlier, my thoughts are with all involved. It must be heartstopping for all sides - I can't imagine it.

I dont think releasing his name will do any good. Hopefully he'll be inside so long that it won't do much harm either.

I feel for the mother but know nothing about them as a family obviously.

I read that his mother was drunk during the early hours of 3rd July when she contacted the police about the cctv. It was said that she wanted him ruled out more than anything else.

Perhaps she did have an inkling all along...

If it had been a Syrian refugee, there'd be an absolute flurry of racist comments btl on most articles. 'Journalists' like Katie Hopkins would be sounding off. I only wish male violence would get people so angry. Perhaps then we'd stand a chance of fixing it.

I think he will get a long sentence - absolutely well deserved too. I think, like Luke Mitchell, he will continue to deny his guilt which I believe means release won’t be considered.

Mitchell was sentenced to life, with a minimum prison term of 20 years and was 14 when he murdered Jodi so hopefully Campbell will get longer.

Why am I a uninformed daily mail reader? With no idea. Because one lads is still inside when he's what 31 years old. Come back with that defence when he's 61 and still in prison.
I wasn't talking about the exact details of this case as of course I don't know as Iv only seen what's been in the press, (not the daily mail either 🙄) i along with many many others think it's right he's been named. And no I don't know the exact case. Sad thing is you don't need to to know the exact case details to know the justice system in this country is fucked.

Also considering I posted a bit about my friend being murdered by a repeat violent offender who kept getting out before his pathetic to start with sentences were served, only to do worse each time. Most recently butchering my friend into such a unrecognisable state her family couldn't identify her body, she had three bloody kids.
I think therefore maybe I have considered my opinion a little bit more that you are accusing me off!

I don't think we should allow the other offenders to attack them perse, but if they choose to commit suicide I'd not stop them.

I'm sure many have suffered traumas, many others have misfired brains and some are just conditioned to violence. But irrespective, sympathy from me only comes from what I perceive to be active attempts to change.

I do feel sorry for his mother but not half as much as hers.

His girlfriend is apparently standing by him if true she's a dispicable human being and I hope people shun her.

I feel just as sorry for Campbell’s mother tbh. Imagine having to live your life knowing the person you gave birth to did that and is one of the most despised individuals in Scotland. Plus no doubt the usual “I blame the parents “ brigade pointing the finger too.

According to the news, he'd thrown a party to celebrate the end of school and smoked cannabis. A keen keep fitter and into Parkour.
He should have been a normal popular kid, what the hell went wrong??
I can't begin to imagine the anguish he's caused.
Lives will have to be rebuilt from complete ruin, whilst he languishes in a cell protected.
