My DD pointing at the candy floss.

@hellenbackagen I love swish swaffers!

Did used to call cauliflower cheese "yellow slurpy stuff", radiators were ralligators and cucumber was gobolina!

22Giraffes · 21/02/2019 23:12

When they were little we had The DooDat (do that) for the tv remote because it does things Grin and ds used to call his coat hood bus roof, "put my roof up mummy it's raining". Still makes me smile!

Dontsayyouloveme · 21/02/2019 23:12

We were stuck in a load of traffic on motorway once. My son must have been about 5 at the time and said all he could smell was ‘car breath’ . Love it!

22Giraffes · 21/02/2019 23:13

*his roof not bus roof!

Newadventure · 21/02/2019 23:17

"Yellow gravy" for curry sauce.

Justyou · 21/02/2019 23:17

Dd confuses us with “I want my breakfast in the diamond room”..... I wish!! It’s the dining room unfortunately.
Also when we are cold we turn the radigator up.

MargotLovedTom1 · 21/02/2019 23:17

Fizzy feet for pins and needles.

Justyou · 21/02/2019 23:18

I do call the tv remote the beep beep though Blush

Justyou · 21/02/2019 23:20

Oh remembered another one, when dd was little she used to ask for cheese sprinkle sandwiches, it took us a while to realise it was grated cheese she had had at the childminders.

CaptainCabinets · 21/02/2019 23:20

@Margot I call them that Grin

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 21/02/2019 23:21

Eating pillows = ravioli

cheesemongery · 21/02/2019 23:21

My son always wanted to master the 'chin guitar'.

Violin Grin

littleyellowpencil · 21/02/2019 23:21

My little girl (4) can't say Yellow, she pronounces it 'Lowbee'

Also marshmallow are 'marshlowbees'

Pokemon are 'Poke-a-gom'

Hippopotamus is a 'pillow-rot-a-mouse 😂

cheesemongery · 21/02/2019 23:22

He could only eat 'flat butter toast' too...

Toast where the butter had melted in to it.

Gottensomedraws · 21/02/2019 23:23

The ‘glitter lorry ‘ instead of the road gritter in the winter.

SciFiScream · 21/02/2019 23:24

My DS now 12 always called a camera a "smile" when he was tiny. Because that's what we always said when we pointed one at him! Grin he had a kids smile to take photos of his trains.

SaturdayNext · 21/02/2019 23:25

DD called all vehicles "taktas". Police cars and ambulances were "nee-naw taktas". Logical, really.

For DS, men with beards were "whiskers men"

RomanticFatigue · 21/02/2019 23:25

A foreign language student I worked with used to say "shiny" day instead of sunny. She first said it when we were on a boat trip and the sun was shining and it reflected on the river. It summed it up perfectly and I've used it ever since!

Whatevaminga · 21/02/2019 23:25

My dd1 called lollipops ‘peeperpops’. No idea why, but it’s stuck.

SomethingAboutNothing · 21/02/2019 23:26

My son calls instructions 'constructions', which we think makes a lot of sense.

ProxyMum · 21/02/2019 23:26

One morning I was talking to my DP and couldn't remember for the life of me what nostrils were called.... So they will now be forever known as 'nose holes'.

Turns out my nose holes are different sizes which is what I was attempting to share with him!

coshol · 21/02/2019 23:26

DS commented on how “frozzy” the car windows were (with condensation).

ChorleyFMcominginyourears · 21/02/2019 23:27

My daughter when she was 18 months used to call her bottle a bizzybock, sounded so cute and is an awesome word!

Nothingunpleasant · 21/02/2019 23:29

Bednight drink. Didn’t even notice it was wrong until I offered my friend one!

Mum2OneTeen · 21/02/2019 23:31

"Too-manys" for 100s&1000s cake decorating balls (by DD when she was little)
