Sweetie-Fluff.
My DD pointing at the candy floss.

What's your best "wrong name" story?

He also used to yell at the TV shouting dirty scone! Dirty scone! Took us weeks to realise it was the cillit bang advert "Bang and the dirt is gone" Grin

Rainatnight · 23/02/2019 23:32

CAME with a little oven glove, not can! I cannot write a single post on Mumsnet without a typo.

TryingSoVeryHard · 23/02/2019 23:34

DD called pjs "jarmy-pops" - they are forever known as that now in our house.

Pardalis · 23/02/2019 23:34

My son calls bras 'booby knickers'.

Havalina · 23/02/2019 23:38

Dd called bras booby lashes which I liked.

ilovepixie · 23/02/2019 23:51

We had a diamond room too lol. And traffic wardens were traffic Gordons!

Pearlington27 · 24/02/2019 00:01

My baby sister, barbie fish = mermaid ❤

PinkSquidgyPig · 24/02/2019 00:54

Elasticated hair bands were called 'bunches'. Because I would show them to my DD and ask if she'd like her hair in bunches
Actually she still calls them that, but is way too cool/grown up to wear her hair in bunches these days (apparently).

Chocice79 · 24/02/2019 01:00

Currently my 21 month old daughter calls her juice bottle "bubble" lol

hunibuni · 24/02/2019 01:09

Very outing but DD struggled with Prawn Cocktail crisps. They are forever known as pawn cottontail crispsps

Renster · 24/02/2019 03:48

I drove my Mum and sisters mad when I was little as I was desperate for some 'shoes with lumps in'.
I meant wooden Scholl sandals. (Showing my age a bit here)

MrsMonkeyBear · 24/02/2019 06:38

DD1 (4yo)
Shiny Sprinkles - Chinese Spring Rolls
Timer - Microwave (I only ever use it for the timer)
Spicy juice - ginger beer
Green worm - caterpillar

crispsahoy · 24/02/2019 07:08

Ds2 called nursery journey and eggy bread is picky egg.
Dd used to say nimits for minutes
Ds1 had furgers instead of burgers.
Can't remember is dd or ds1 we're responsible for mince & ducklings. That one has stuck with the whole family

Enidthecat · 24/02/2019 07:12

Wheelbarrow is 'nee-na-naw'

Water was 'ooo-dee' until he was 2

No idea why!

InMyOwnParticularIdiom · 24/02/2019 07:53

DD2 calls a stamp a 'queen sticker'.

She recently said, 'when you go faster, it's a celebration!' (acceleration)

SnugglySnerd · 24/02/2019 08:17

I love cute kids' words. The see-saw is the "up-down" in our family and dragons are fire-ninaurs (fire dinosaurs!).

Greyhound22 · 24/02/2019 08:37

DS

Hospital = hospybus
Butterfly = blah
Milk = more (I need some more more)

Suze1621 · 24/02/2019 09:16

Ambliance (ambulance)
Ballooloon (balloon)
And many years ago my much younger sister came up with 'bust bins' (bra).

FrogOfFrogHall · 24/02/2019 19:14

DS likes to wear his t-shirt on.
Also we have froggy days here when there is a sea mist.
And one of my favourites when he's lost something is "mummy my toy has mistappeared"

BikeRunSki · 24/02/2019 20:06

DH skidded slightly on some ice when we were in the car with dd when she was about 2. Slightly dodgy driving has been “dicey” ever since.
