It's called Fences.
It's essentially a monologue from Denzel Washington.

Perhaps it's supposed to be a study on social injustices at the time, but I have endured 40 minutes of it and literally can't take one more second!

Please don't tell me that this is some sort of award winning film and that I'm a bit thick or something?

I'd heard the title before which is why I thought it would be good. 40 minutes in, and literally nothing has happened. Except yer man ranting on and fucking on and fucking on.

I love Denzel usually, and his acting is good, but fuck me, the writing is pure and utter unadulterated shite!

La La Land was rubbish

I hated La La Land too.

This week I watched a film called Honeymoon from Hell on Netflix, I have no idea how I made it to the end.

I think what annoyed me about la fucking la fucking land, is that it’s jist life. Without the bells and whistles.
Maybe I just wasn’t clever enough to get it.
2 people meet young, it doesn’t work out due to circumstances. They both move on.

Eyes Wide Shut. I walked out of the cinema half way through. Tried watching it again later, but nope, load of shite.

PuppyMonkey · 24/02/2019 10:33

oh Yes , La La Land. Crap singing, awful dancing, depressing story - everything a musical is NOT supposed to be.

NameChanger22 · 24/02/2019 10:45

Plus, the camera was out of focus a lot and the whole plot was completely pointless. One or two songs were ok though.

Ah, The English Patient, I found it so enthralling, I fell asleep.
My exH fell asleep during The Woman in Red (he saw the bit with Kelly Le Brock and the skirt tho) Wink and also during The Fellowship of the Ring.

La La Land was awful Hollywood patting itself on the back

Could have been so good and interesting LA is so culturally diverse but that was ignored
