AIBU to think that the IS bride would never have been allowed the freedoms she has, unless they have a grander plan?

I just find it all a bit suspicious.
She looks dopey or doped.
Her interview was very rehearsed.
They want to get her back here for nefarious reasons.
They would not have allowed her to speak to press.
She is a willing accomplice in a grander plan?

That doesn’t matter Vietnamese. Bangladesh is now the only citizenship she has so international law says it cannot be withdrawn or expire.

Jazzybeats · 20/02/2019 15:03

Her behaviour is abhorrent. Totally disgusting.

However.

She is not Syria’s problem or even Bangladesh’s - she is a British criminal - I see no reason why She should be inflicted on Syria or on Bangladesh. It’s pretty arrogant to think we can strip people of their nationality and send them else where so someone else can deal with them.

MadCatEnthusiast · 20/02/2019 15:04

BejamNostalgia If they appeal, doesn't her status halt until the Commission can look at and decide? Sajid, through the HO, has only stated his intention to revoke her citizenship, I believe.

BejamNostalgia · 20/02/2019 15:21

MadCat, the letter from Javid very clearly said her citizenship was revoked and all the the comment I have seen says it’s unlikely she will win her appeal. She’ll have to go down the human rights route arguing that her son is a UK national and he needs her here.

She should be inflicted on Syria or on Bangladesh. It’s pretty arrogant to think we can strip people of their nationality and send them else where so someone else can deal with them.

You think it’s arrogant not to want someone who has expressed support for genocide, terrorism and war crimes in your country? Yeah, jog on love. You may or may not have noticed that Syria and other Asian neighbours have been doing a bang up job sending their problems over here for the last few years, maybe it’s time they took a few back?

It’s not fucking hard. Don’t get involved in genocide and war crimes and you won’t lose your citizenship. It’s not like you can nip out to Tesco and accidentally end up with a couple of Yazidi sex slaves and crucify their brother is it?

BejamNostalgia · 20/02/2019 15:23

She does not legally have citizenship here and cannot travel here unless she wins her appeal. It doesn’t work like that because then anyone could make a false claim of UK citizenship and insist they were allowed into the country until it was processed. And never leave

MadCatEnthusiast · 20/02/2019 15:30

That's a fair point

M4J4 · 20/02/2019 15:39

@BejamNostalgia

She’s of Bangladeshi descent. If you knew fuck all about the area you would know that this is completely true. You can live in Tower Hamlets your entire life without engaging with anyone of English descent or even speaking English.

What bilge, children in Tower Hamlets DO go to school and they DO speak English.

And none of your post explains why Bangladesh should have her. Her family say she has never had Bangladeshi citizenship, this is fuck all to do with Bangladesh. She's BRITISH.

Jazzybeats · 20/02/2019 15:40

To be clear I have zero empathy for her. She can rot in a ditch for all I care.

My point is people born in this country who commit crimes should be dealt with by this country. Or do we ship murderers to Australia? Where do we draw the line? The government seems to like shipping dark skinned people abroad.

M4J4 · 20/02/2019 15:40

If you listene to the interview Bejam, you will eat Shamima speaking in ENGLISH, not Bengali.

M4J4 · 20/02/2019 15:41
  • hear not eat
MadCatEnthusiast · 20/02/2019 15:45

Her accent is also a London accent too so, she's as British as your next door neighbour.. Come on now, you can't have an English accent if you don't speak English

SchadenfreudePersonified · 20/02/2019 15:50

Agree with your every word Jazzybeats

brassbrass · 20/02/2019 16:34

It's all a bit stable gate / horse anyway as apparently they've already let a bunch of IS supporters/fighters return. What are they doing now? How are they being dealt with?
