Not sure if it's weird but I just have a little collection of words I love (mainly for their meaning and not the sound).

I loved limerence when I first heard it.

Does anyone have any other words that they really like the meaning of? I'm actually looking for one-word tattoo inspiration (don't judge for the tattoo!), so I'm reading, googling, being more conscious of words in films etc but I thought I'd ask you users as well!

I also love a made up word my ds came up with for windscreen wipers.

He called them
Swishswaffers.

I ❤️ that and I think we need to change the name!

Tillygetsit · 11/02/2019 00:03

My favourite word is choice for the meaning and the feel of it in your mouth.

Ribbonsonabox · 11/02/2019 00:07

Phosphorescent
Incandescent

I like words with escent on the end
Florescent is also pretty great

Ooh, whoever said 'prestidigitation', me too. Makes me smile whenever I hear it!

Seren85 · 12/02/2019 01:30

I love the full version of the word my username is based on but that's come up several times. I really love prolific even though it usually involves horrible words after it.

captainjackandjill · 12/02/2019 02:18

Susurrus (thanks to Terry P)

and

Doodle pop (no idea where I heard this one, but love the sound)

Rockmysocks · 12/02/2019 06:01

Girl I worked with thought 'chatel' was a beautiful word and asked me if I knew what it meant. I didn't at first as she pronounced it 'chatelle' and got her to spell it then was a bit shocked she'd never heard it before.

My favourite words are opprobrium, odious, sparkle, sunburst and joy.

Ragnarthe · 12/02/2019 06:19

Rock Do you mean chattel?
frantically googling chatel in case it's a different word
