All the ones that aranged for brexit without any clear plan can go to hell as far as I'm concerned. That's why we are in such a mess now!

All 4 of us agree with him apart from no one believes in hell so prison would do the job nicely and we very much hope to see this in the future.

The fact that there is a general outcry from a fair number of Leavers generally despite him explicitly talking about politicians who pushed Brexit without a plan shows how utterly brainwashed they have become and unable to hear what is being said. Could understand it if he was referring to Leave Voters but he clearly isn’t .

Fair play to those like my neighbour who actually listened to what he said and agreeswith him - she’s 86, not in the best of health and managed perfectly so it’s clearly not that hard.

Arnoldillo · 06/02/2019 22:59

Btw for shitferjet and other hard of thinking folks, yes, us leaving the EU does restrict our ability to move to other countries, just as people from other countries will be restricted in moving here. Because there won't be freedom of movement any more. And without freedom of movement, movement is restricted.

Ffs.

Every time I try to believe that leavers aren't stupid it quickly becomes impossible.

Bubastes · 06/02/2019 23:00

I do feel if parliament had got behind brexit in the first place we would be in a better place now.

Oh yes, if only everyone had been jollier about Brexit.

I do feel if the majority of MPs hadn't voted to trigger Article 50 without any plan in place we'd be in a better place now.

Figmentofmyimagination · 06/02/2019 23:01

Of course he’s right.

The vote was won because it was a vote to exit - not a vote to arrive anywhere. Had there been any attempt to work out a plan, Leave could not have won, because the majority would have woken up (maybe!) to the reality that the politicians selling them Brexit didn’t exactly have their best interests at heart.

Brexit was always bound to fail for this reason - so yes - these politicians should be made to suffer. A full judge-led public inquiry would do me, with national humiliation, the destruction of all their careers and political obscurity - a leftover life of celebrity big brother, love island, that one about eating insects etc. That’s probably close enough to hell on earth for these appalling people.

lljkk · 06/02/2019 23:02

Bloody Hell. Matters have come to true impasse when the Political Editor of the Sun agrees with Tusk.

To agree with Donald tusk there is a place in hell for brexiters
Bubastes · 06/02/2019 23:03

to prefer Tusk over our own elected representatives is so unpatriotic as to be almost insane.

Our own elected representatives? The ones who have failed at every stage of the process? The ones desperate to lead Britain off an economic cliff? Those elected representatives?

Unpatriotic. Who gives a flying fuck!

Give yourself a shake.

Arnoldillo · 06/02/2019 23:03

Nah. Get em jobs driving ubers.

nauticant · 06/02/2019 23:05

Are you thinking of something like this Figmentofmyimagination:

MrsTerryPratcett · 06/02/2019 23:06

There's a very old joke about Europe and heaven and hell... Remainers should go to this heaven and Leavers without a plan should go to the hell.

Heaven is where the French are the cooks, Italians are the lovers, Germans are the engineers, British are the police, and it's all organized by the Swiss.

Hell is where the British are the cooks, French are the engineers, Swiss are the lovers and the Germans are the police, and it's all organized by the Italians.

PortiaCastis · 06/02/2019 23:08

Dont see why I should be patriotic when I am expected to live with a shitstorm I didn't vote for, why would I be. Our elected representatives are fucking useless and are taking us all over a cliff so no I have no respect for a government that has no clue what they're doing, the b!oody vote on a deal has been postponed again until the 25th apparently so that leaves 4 weeks just 4 weeks to decide the UKs future
You couldn't make this up you really couldn't

TheManFromHellMonte · 06/02/2019 23:10

Well wherever it is, I hope they are taken there on a big red bus.

PostNotInHaste · 06/02/2019 23:20

Being patriotic is thinking and doing what you believe to be right for your country and future of your children not blindly digging your heels in and repeating a monotonous mantra about the EU being bullies like a bloody zombie and ignoring that nagging little voice that occasionally very very faintly somewhere deep in the subconscious that suggests just maybe you like us all have been stitched up like smoked kipper by some of our elected representatives.

Trottersindependenttraders · 06/02/2019 23:23

But.........to prefer Tusk over our own elected representatives is so unpatriotic as to be almost insane

Eh?!? I don’t ‘prefer’ Tusk as you put it, Ffs we’re not 7! I certainly agree with what he says, couldn’t give a flying fuck if that’s ‘unpatriotic’ or not, frankly. I form my opinion based on what I see, not on who made the statement —and their nationality—.

Smallhorse · 06/02/2019 23:26

Oh behave

Donmesswime · 06/02/2019 23:27

The long and the short of it is that Britain doesn't know its people.

LaurenOrdering · 06/02/2019 23:43

No one in their right mind would put their house up for sale & on the day of moving out suddenly realise that they hadn't sorted out a new place to live.
Brexit sound familiar?

outnumberedwoman · 06/02/2019 23:45

The problem is JRM, Boris, Farage et al are so full of their own self importance. They think British are head and shoulders above other "lesser" nations. They think the EU will be lost without us and should be pleading with us to stay.

The reality is we are not a big fish in a pond. We are the plankton. They EU don't need all this agro. We are the laughing stock. And is it any wonder?

skopu · 06/02/2019 23:57

YADNBU. More rational and sane than anything that's come out of Brexiter politicians' heads in 2.5 years.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 07/02/2019 00:59

I thought the opposite, "there is a special place, reserved in hell, for politicians who ignore the result of democratic votes".

Tusk seems to think that he is some sort of demi-god that wants to rule over an EU superstate and he will rain death and hellfire down on anyone who deigned to resist him.

Run, run, escape whilst you can.

Bubastes · 07/02/2019 01:03

How the heck is Tusk ignoring the Brexit vote? I presume that's what you're trying to convey. Some examples would be fab. Thanks in advance.

MrsTerryPratcett · 07/02/2019 01:16

I thought the opposite, "there is a special place, reserved in hell, for politicians who ignore the result of democratic votes".

It wasn't binding. Unless you think politicians should pay attention to every Cosmo quiz, have a proper bloody referendum, which would be subject to public scrutiny and legal recourse.

Bubastes · 07/02/2019 01:18

I'd like to give a special shout out to the place in hell for governments who overlook proven illegalities in referendum campaigns.

ilovesooty · 07/02/2019 01:20

He's right.
Cameron, Johnson, Gove and Farage should all be in prison.
Anyone remember Johnson saying There are no plans for no deal, because we're going to get a great deal ?

Lying scum.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 07/02/2019 01:57

It wasn't binding. It wasn't binding
Supposedly it isn't 'binding that we have to stay in the EU. Lets see if that is true?

PerverseConverse · 07/02/2019 02:06

Problem is that they are taking us all to hell with them.
I'm glad someone in authority has had the guts to speak up against this clusterfuck. If only our own MPs would do the same.
