Sorry for posting on here...I feel so desperate l just need other people to tell me this is fine.

I'm 18 weeks, 2 mcs previously. I'm so ready for this baby and saw him yesterday in scan kicking his legs and sucking his thumb. I talk to him every day. I imagine what he will be like and I've bought far too much stuff for the nursery already. My family are over the moon. Dh is ready to be daddy.

Tonight I came home and went to the toilet. Slight watery pink bleeding. Exactly how my two mcs started. I've been lying in bed since. I'm terrified. I can't lose another baby and especially as I've seen this little one is already my baby boy, I've counted his toes on scans, I've felt him do little flips.

Feeling lost.

I am so sorry OP. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Angry101 · 24/01/2019 21:21

It could be nothing . Have you called pregnancy assessment to ask their advice ? They may ask you to go in .

Putyourdamnshoeson · 24/01/2019 21:21

I can't say it'll be fine. But it might be. Go to antenatal ward at hospital ASAP.

Ladyoftheloch · 24/01/2019 21:21

I’m so sorry OP. No advice, but here is a hand hold. I really hope everything works out for you Flowers

yearinyearout · 24/01/2019 21:21

I don’t know much about it I’m afraid but have you spoken to anyone medical about it?

monkeysox · 24/01/2019 21:21

Have you called anyone.
Flowers
Breathe. Try to stay calm.

DameSquashalot · 24/01/2019 21:23

I hope everything will be ok. Can you get to the hospital tonight?

Flymetothemoon18 · 24/01/2019 21:23

Hi, speaking as a mum who’s also suffered multiple losses please get in touch with your out of hours midwife service or the hospital and go and get checked over. I know how terrifying it is but you need to make sure of what’s happening right now lovely. Sending hugs xx

E20mom · 24/01/2019 21:23

I hope everything is ok. I had exactly the same after my 20 week scan and it was the only time I had any bleeding in my pregnancy. Everything was fine and my baby is lying next to me now snoring her head off.

thelittlestsausage · 24/01/2019 21:24

I've called and they just said ring back if it gets worse or clots etc... this is exactly what happened before but I was much much earlier (lost one at 8 and one at 12)

garethsouthgatesmrs · 24/01/2019 21:24

go and get checked tonight. It happened to me at 16 weeks and my baby was fine. She is 16 months old now. Of course I can't promise you it will be fine but lots of people have bleeds and go on to have healthy babies.

SparklyLeprechaun · 24/01/2019 21:25

I bled (lightly) on and off through my first and second trimester with my second dc. I had 2 previous miscarriages and was sure I was going to miscarry. I didn't. I hope everything will be OK for you as well. Flowers

KavvLar · 24/01/2019 21:25

Keep calm. Get checked out, deep breaths and try not to panic. Praying for you.

maddening · 24/01/2019 21:25

Could be a uti - do call the mw and get checked.

MRex · 24/01/2019 21:25

Call your hospital and go calmly to the antenatal in either a taxi or with DH driving. It's very late for a miscarriage, the chances are really quite low so it's better to hope for the best until all hope is gone. There might be something that can be done to help (one woman from my pregnancy yoga needed lots of bed rest because of bleeds but was ok), or they might be able to reassure you, or you would at least know for sure. FWIW, quite a few women in my ante-natal group had late bleeding that turned out to be random and not a miscarriage. Good luck, everything crossed for you and your baby. X

ChariotsofFish · 24/01/2019 21:26

I had this with both my m/c and both my successful pregnancies (in one I had the pink bleeding fairly early on and in the other much later). You need to go and get it checked out, but it isn’t necessarily anything bad.

garethsouthgatesmrs · 24/01/2019 21:26

sorry cross post. No-one can tell you it definitely will be fine but equally baby might well be fine. These bleeds happen often. Flowers for you op. Keep us posted.

Gemmamb · 24/01/2019 21:27

Don’t ring just get to the hospital ASAP and don’t be fobbed off and take no for an answer. As you have had 2 mcs before they should be monitoring you more closely. Maybe point this out to them. Good luck. Thinking of you. X

thelittlestsausage · 24/01/2019 21:27

I don't understand why I can't just have a normal healthy pregnancy and baby... I'm not a bad person and I know it's illogical but I feel like I'm being punished for something.

I have a home Doppler and I can hear him beating away, going to get up now and see if I'm still bleeding ☹️

Wildestflower · 24/01/2019 21:28

So sorry for this uncertainty. I've had miscarriages and also have DC, and remember how scary and lonely these times are. Are you able to get a scan out of hours? Different places do different things. For some of my scans, I had to wait until the next working day, but never longer. Please get scanned tomorrow at the latest. Go to an early pregnancy advisory unit at a nearby hospital and find out if your baby is ok. Thinking of you and wishing you luck Flowers

Wildestflower · 24/01/2019 21:31

Cross post. Hearing him on the Doppler is good news.

For the posters who avert said go to hospital and don't take no for an answer, it isn't always that simple. I've been sent home bleeding from hospitals 'out of hours' as they had nobody available who could scan.

MRex · 24/01/2019 21:32

Did you tell them about your miscarriages?

thelittlestsausage · 24/01/2019 21:33

Thanks everyone, the midwife said anything could have caused it as it's only light so they aren't concerned...I said about my previous and she just kept saying how the risk is so much smaller at this stage. It's still there though. I have already been one of the supposedly small percentage to have multiple mc so I no longer have faith in the numbers!

garethsouthgatesmrs · 24/01/2019 21:34

You hopefully are having a healthy pregnancy. The doppler is reassuring. My bleeding was never explained and it lasted a few hours then stopped. Baby was totally healthy and no other problems in pregnancy. Try and think positive

southnownorth · 24/01/2019 21:34

Oh bless you OP.

I had a lot of bleeding in my pregnancy, it was caused by a cervical erosion, not dangerous for the baby at all.

Hopefully the bleeding stops, wishing you all the best.

Try the hospital again, they always scanned me when I was worried.
