I forgot my ds water bottle in school.I saw the teaching assistant next day who told me she had found it and assured me she would wash it out and replace water. She didn't do this and ds came home with same water ,I knew because I'd put a little lemon in with his water.Just feel let down and like she thought who cares she won't know but because of the lemon I do.Would this concern you?

No not really, just make sure you remember the bottle in future.

onlywanttosleep · 23/01/2019 21:40

She maybe just forgot. Unless she has form for not caring I'd assume she was busy and it slipped her mind.

GypsyRoseTea · 23/01/2019 21:41

No

AfterSchoolWorry · 23/01/2019 21:41

No.

It's not creche any more. TA probably meant well but didn't get around to it. Get the child to learn to wash the bottle and replace the water.

The more independence you foster in the child the better. They're expected to start taking responsibility for these things themselves now.

Nicknacky · 23/01/2019 21:42

What’s the issue?

Believeitornot · 23/01/2019 21:42

Maybe she was a bit busy.

Starlight456 · 23/01/2019 21:42

No if that was my biggest concern happy days.

LongWalkShortPlank · 23/01/2019 21:43

To be fair she could have done it. Lemon is something that lingers unless it's properly washed, especially in plastic type bottles.

Buddytheelf85 · 23/01/2019 21:43

No, I wouldn’t think about it again.

londonrach · 23/01/2019 21:43

Whats the problem. It was his bottle.

GoGoGadgetGin · 23/01/2019 21:44

How old is your child and how old was the water?

.

AfterSchoolWorry · 23/01/2019 21:45

Says reception age on the title.

edwinbear · 23/01/2019 21:45

I don’t wash my own water bottle every day Hmm

Sparklingbrook · 23/01/2019 21:45

Why do you put lemon in it?

alltheusernames · 23/01/2019 21:45

Why would this concern you? A TA has better things to do than clean out bottles, your kid isn't going to get sick from day old sealed water, get a grip!

emilybrontescorsett · 23/01/2019 21:45

She probably forgot and was far too busy to do it. So no it wouldn't bother me.

caughtinanet · 23/01/2019 21:45

Not something I would worry about, my DC have all gone to school with day old water at one time. I wouldn't expect the TA to wash my child's bottle

waterrat · 23/01/2019 21:45

Two adults and 30 kids in reception she just got distracted and forgot. They are offered water at lunch and have water fountains at playtime I would forget it op

John4703 · 23/01/2019 21:45

What is wrong with day old water? I don't understand what the problem is.

MrsFogi · 23/01/2019 21:46

No I'd be more concerned about the harm the lemon is doing to his teeth.

YouTheCat · 23/01/2019 21:46

So the water was a day old? And it was either your or your ds's responsibility to remember to bring it home? Yabvu.

ballsdeep · 23/01/2019 21:46

Offs!!!!!
Really???? I'm between doing a thousand things she has to do, I'm sure washing your child's water bottle was on the top of her list. It's not going to kill your child, get over it and find something worthy to moan about

MintyT · 23/01/2019 21:47

Lemon will do more harm than old water

Sugarhunnyicedtea · 23/01/2019 21:47

Why are you putting lemon in his water bottle?
I imagine she forgot to change the water, or realised it wasn't water and didn't replace it

caughtinanet · 23/01/2019 21:48

No water fountains at my Dcs school waterrat so i do feel bad if I forget to fill it up but I know there are taps in the classrooms which I assume have drinking water in
