I've always been skinny / slim but after 2 kids I've suddenly realised I'm not any more following a run in with the scales at the doctors surgery Confused.

I think I have a rare form of body dismorphia where I think I'm skinnier than I am Grin. No idea what size etc I am now. I'm 5ft 8 and 11st 4lb. I have previously always been around the 9.5 stone mark.

Finding it difficult to lose the baby weight after #2 as there is NO TIME! Any tips?

I'm 5'7", 8st 12lb and a size 8/10.

I'm muscular and not at all skinny Blush

QueenMabby · 22/01/2019 13:26

I’m 42, 5’7” and probably weigh just over 9st (I think - don’t really weigh that often). Generally a size 8.
Was mostly a size 12 in my pre-children years (about 10 1/2 st) so in my head I’m still that size and struggle to see it if people call me slim. I’m a classic pear shape but am noticing some shifting of weight to the stomach as I get older!! Not so sure about that!! I do 2 circuit classes and 1 yoga class a week and try to eat intuitively but without being stressy about it.

HotOats · 22/01/2019 13:26

5'6 - 8.5 stone - Size 8 - 39 - 7yo twins

We eat quite a few vegan meals. I haven't eaten dairy (except sometimes cheese on pizza) or processed foods for years (I was trying to get rid of endo doing the endo diet - It worked) and my tastes changed and I've never gone back.

I also have a juicer and juice green veg most days.

It all sounds very healthy but I don't really make a big thing of it and I have no qualms about tucking into a lovely meal out, or christmas treats.

Choccywoccyhooha · 22/01/2019 13:27

5ft7. Aged 40. 12 stone and sz16. Depressing.

LEELULUMPKIN · 22/01/2019 13:28

*8 stone 4 here and I am 5ft 2 inches. Size 10-12 depending where I shop. I used to be 15.2 at my heaviest. Been this current weight give it 3-4lbs either way for almost 15 years.

DaveCoachesgavemetheclap · 22/01/2019 13:30

5ft 8in 18 stone size 24

NotUmbongoUnchained · 22/01/2019 13:32

Don’t know how much I weigh, but I’m a size 6, 5ft1.

I have 2 friends at 15stone, one in a size 14 and one in a 20 at 5ft6 though, which just goes to show how different physiology effects weight.

nomilknosugarplease · 22/01/2019 13:34

I always find these interesting as you can see how differently people carry weight. I’m the exact same height and weight as some posters on this thread yet I wear a completely different clothes size. It shows that clothes sizes are probably a load of rubbish really aren’t they...

MonsterTequila · 22/01/2019 13:34

@comtesseDeSpair
Your BMI is 19 which is borderline underweight....

MikeUniformMike · 22/01/2019 13:35

It's the scales. I always weigh about a stone more at the dr's.

Unbelievable18 · 22/01/2019 13:37

42 years old, 5 ft 3, 49-50 kg, 7.8 stone, size 6-8.

Lioness5 · 22/01/2019 13:37

5'2 and a half. 8 stone 3. Wear clothes from a size 6 to a size 12 Confused

dancemom · 22/01/2019 13:38

5'4 wear size 6-8, currently weigh about 10 stone 7, at my lowest I weighed 9 stone 7, would love to lose 10lbs but its just not shifting - I blame middle age!
wore 6-8 at my lowest weight too though so same dress size regardless ... im pretty muscular also so that may explain it.

Cheeseandpicklesarnies · 22/01/2019 13:40

5’3, 9stone 11. Size 10 / small 12. Working my way down from 10 and a half stone which I was just before Xmas. Aiming for 9 stone which brings me into the middle of healthy bmi. Lift weights and generally pretty active so I’m fairly muscular

Odoreida · 22/01/2019 13:40

5'3", 11 and a bit stone, size 12-14. 2 stone overweight and would look better at a size 10 but I am fine with my appearance.

Very similar to you OP.

5ft 8in.
was always around 9 and half stone through my late teens, 20s, 30s and into my mid to late 40s.

then menopause and I found myself around `10st 4lb - still ok and happy with this.

Last 3 or months has seen me creep up to 11st 9lb. I'm definitely NOT happy with this!

Not sure how its happened. I actually eat and drink a lot less than I used to in order to compensate for illness that prevents me running as an exercise.

GoldenBuns · 22/01/2019 13:42

5 ft 5, around 10 stone and a size 10-12. Generally more of a 12 on bottom half. I have quite a slim/sporty frame but have a fair amount of flab round my middle and hips these days.

tiutinkerbell · 22/01/2019 13:42

5'2, 8st 7lbs and I'm a size 8!

I'm 28 and compete in a high intensity sport so stay relatively small despite eating a truckload everyday - usually around 7/8 meals!

smoothieooo · 22/01/2019 13:43

5' 9" and weigh just under 11 stone (having put on half a stone over Christmas). I have clothes in my wardrobe (which fit!) from size 8 to size 14.

When I gain weight it goes straight onto my tummy area but I've started doing 5km park runs on a Saturday morning which is motivating me to do more. Would just like to be a bit more toned and nearer 10 stone.

Orangecake123 · 22/01/2019 13:43

I'm 5'3. At my heaviest I was 89kg. I'm around 75kg now.

Size 14/16 I think but I haven't bought anything new for a while.

FourForYouGlenCoco · 22/01/2019 13:43

I like these threads too, interesting to see the variation in bodies/shapes/sizes.
I’m 5’10”, 10 stone ish, size 10-12. Very small frame despite my height (tiny wrists) and start to look chunky at anything much over my current weight. Was 9st10 or thereabouts before DC3, she’s 9 months now though and the extra weight seems to have stuck! We have a reasonably healthy diet in general but I eat what I like and don’t calorie count. I run (slowly) 2-3 times a week and constantly racing about after 3 kids. Would like to lose a few lbs but can’t be bothered at the min, and not that fussed if I don’t tbh.

minesthecutest · 22/01/2019 13:43

size 10 and size 12 hips, 5ft 4 and weigh 62kg.
I have big hips and a shelf after c sec the rest of me is quite slim

Paininmybummum · 22/01/2019 13:45

I'm 44, 5ft 6" mum of 3, weigh 8st 10lbs and a size 10/12. I'm OK with what I eat, vegetarian, but not massively healthy and don't really do exercise as I live in chronic pain, but I do gentle stretching instead. I'm fine with how I look. Not super excited, not hating it, just "whatever".
