I've always been skinny / slim but after 2 kids I've suddenly realised I'm not any more following a run in with the scales at the doctors surgery Confused.

I think I have a rare form of body dismorphia where I think I'm skinnier than I am Grin. No idea what size etc I am now. I'm 5ft 8 and 11st 4lb. I have previously always been around the 9.5 stone mark.

Finding it difficult to lose the baby weight after #2 as there is NO TIME! Any tips?

50kg/around 8 stone and 5’5”.
Size 10-12
Was never bothered by weight until I hit 40 and now I have to be a little more careful!
Dress sizes are a mess though and vanity sizing is very common.

I'm 48 with 2 kids

I am 5’7’’ and overweight according to BMI measure. I weigh 11 stone 12. I definitely do not feel like I look fat. I am aiming for 11 stone as an ideal weight but I am also happy how I am. I exercise regularly and eat healthily. You sound a perfectly normal weight to me. My dress size is 12/14 which is fine for my height. I would look ill if I was an 8/10 for sure.

KittyVonCatsworth · 23/01/2019 07:11

5'3,10.5st size 14. I'm all boobs and bum even when I was 7.5st and a size 4 nothing fitted right because it's mostly boobs. I'm trying to loose another 2st because being short I don't carry weight well.

I too am astonished at similarly height and weight of folks and how it varies in dress sizes too.

5ft 4 and fluctuate between 8st 6 and 8st 1 depending on the time of the month. I’m 46 and have one DC.

MrDarcyWillBeMine · 23/01/2019 07:51

I’m 5’9 and 11st

I wear a size 10/12 and am reasonably happy. I’ve put 7lbs on since last summer though and barely fit into my wedding dress (I eat when I’m happy or stressed)

I’m really struggling between ‘I like myself at this weight’ and ‘I want to fit into my dress’

sizzledrizz · 23/01/2019 07:53

I seem to weigh quite heavy yet take a smallish clothes size. I'm 5ft 5 and around 9.5 stones and size 6/8. Maybe I'm actually taller than I think I am Grin

polkadotpixie · 23/01/2019 07:57

I'm 5'3 and weigh 10st 6lbs

I'm currently wearing size 10 tops and size 12 jeans

Aiming for 9st but finding it hard to lose weight post baby. He's 4 months old now and I've only lost 4lbs (I was 11st 11lbs at full term but came home from the hospital at 10st 10lbs)

tavus · 23/01/2019 08:00

I'm 5 ft1 ،9st and size 12. is my size good for my weight?

Size 10. Currently wearing size 8 trousers but they are Next whose sizing is ridiculous, so that doesn’t count!

60kg - 9 stone 4?

Got down to 58kg recently - I looked hungry.
(That's because I always am !!!)

VeryLittleOwl · 23/01/2019 08:09

5'5", 74kg, wearing a 12, just. It's crept on over the past few years, I feel at my best at around 60kg and am determined to get back to that this year.

5'9 and 11st 13.
Just started addressing it, I have a wardrobe of size 12s that I can't wear.
I have been 10st and looked gaunt, 11st is my ideal weight.

MasonJar · 23/01/2019 08:40

Clothes size doesn't mean anything.
So many people on this thread say they are size 10 - 12 despite a big variation in weight.
I'm 5ft 7 and weigh 8.6. I wear what fits me, sometimes that's a size 12, or a 10. I often get size 14 jumpers so I can layer underneath.

StellaWouldYouTakeMeHome · 23/01/2019 09:45

5 ft 7 size 8-10 just under 9 stone

SushiMonster · 23/01/2019 09:51

5’9 and 64kg and a size 12 in most places or a 10 in big vanity places. I have a very broad back and wide hips. Sporty, do a lot of exercise. This weight seems to be my ‘natural’ Weight of that makes sense.

At my slimmest ever I was 9.5 stone and TBF looked amazing but that wasn’t sustainable for me without a LOT of effort.

Chickenwing · 23/01/2019 09:57

5 foot 6 and weigh 11 stone 3. Size 14. Trying to lose weight.

lemonface · 23/01/2019 10:11

I have clothes that are size 6 and size 12. Totally depends on the shop. I'm also smaller on top than bottom.

CookPassBabtridge · 23/01/2019 10:24

It's so interesting how much body frame affects this. I'm 5ft 7 and disappear at 9st 7, and I'm skinny at 10st 7. I have a wide frame so look bony.

VeryLittleOwl · 23/01/2019 11:10

Yes, a lot of it is down to muscle mass. 10 years ago I was about 5kg lighter than I am now and a 14-16. Now I'm a 12, but have spent the last few years looking after livestock every day, lugging around 20kg feed sacks and 15kg hay bales and carry much more muscle, so I'm smaller even though I'm heavier.

TheOneAnd · 23/01/2019 11:26

Yes. I think I am heavier than I look, until I'm in sports gear and then you can see I'm pretty toned.

Girlwiththearabstrap · 23/01/2019 14:03

I'm 5'7 and just over 12 stone. Maybe closer to 12 and a half after Christmas 😣.
I usually wear a 12 (I'm never sure whether that's average or HUGE after I read these threads). I'm overweight, haven't really lost the weight from my 2nd pregnancy, and currently using my fitness pal to track my calories and cut down that way. I think I've been in denial a bit as I do 4 hiit classes a week and run regularly so assumed that because I was relatively fit i was ok... but realistically I am too big and need to lose weight to be at more optimal health. I've also been keeping an eye on my waist measurement. It's 31 at the moment but I would like to reduce this. I'm an apple shape, and conscious that this is the unhealthiest body shape so I need to watch my portion sizes and cut out treats.
