To ask what you've eaten today...

...and how much exercise you got?

Very interested to hear what amount and type of food people's daily diet consists of,and whether it's obviously a lot more or less than I eat, or more nutritious or not.

I had a day without exercise so far, total consumption two slices of home-bake bread, a cup large mug of tea, and 2 x that of coffee.

Planning to eat a jacket pot for dinner now, with beans and a little grated cheese. Oh, and an orange for breakfast.

I am a few stone overweight, from Christmas excesses, but steadily losing it. (Not mentally, I mean weight!) Grin

OverwateredCheeseplant · 20/01/2019 20:54

Pretty unhealthy day really 🙁

Granola with almond milk
Three chocolate ginger biscuits
Three crackers with 2 slices of cheese and a load of carrot sticks
Grapes
Vegetable risotto

OverwateredCheeseplant · 20/01/2019 20:54

Smotheroffive · 20/01/2019 21:07

I am currently casting around for some unhealthiness! But, have been very light on the meals today should need to stick with it. Maybe a drink but not water

I’m just doing some oven chips 😉

Smotheroffive · 20/01/2019 23:27

Ha! I have polished off a pancake for dessert, cocoa powder dusted, with maple syrup...otherwise I would be very much into joiningbwith the oven chips...dipped in tom.ketchup,

Madein1995 · 21/01/2019 08:30

Roast pork cooked dinner

Two mile walk with dog

Glass of green juice and a banana post walk

Chicken tikka filler wrap with salad

FF yogurt with pomegranates and honey

Mint

Madein1995 · 22/01/2019 00:46

2.5lb off today! Really annoyed by that actually, I'm used to doing slimming world and losing 4 or 5lb in a week. To be fair I did have 2 days where I ate rubbishly. Just so annoyed though, I was really good the rest of the time and had a minute loss. Grump

Today's been

Alpen bar, coffee, banana

Bag of French fries

Chicken tikka and lettuce wrap

melon, grapes

Bag of pop chips (in meeting)

Mushroom and ham tagiatelle

Chocolate eclair

BirdieInTheHand · 22/01/2019 01:04

Greek yogurt with berries

Tomato soup

2 chicken dippers (stolen off DCs plate!)

Poached egg on toast

Smotheroffive · 22/01/2019 01:19

Sad that you have been giving yourself a hard time that you, not gained weight, or stayed the same, but lost 2.5llbs. Seems quite harsh, considering whatever it is you're doing ...its working!

Me today,
B. Large mug of rooibos, ss milk. maybe four skinny biscuits
L. Lemon & pepper mini fillets chicken espresso/ss.milk
D. Chinese fresh veg stir fry.
S(upper) slice of buttered bread with jam! Yum!

Exercise....hmmmm! Couple circuits fast walk of local park path. minimal lot of stress and insufficient exercise to help with it.

Madein1995 · 22/01/2019 22:23

smother thank you 😀 I've had a word with myself. I suppose slow is better than fast and it's sustainable. I do have a lot to lose - am 16stone- and with SW was used to losing 5lb a week. But then I'd exist on salad on weigh in day and feel faint. Id work out before hand and feel sick. Even limit my water for water weight 🙄 the emphasis was truly on biggest losses and it brought out my competitive side. But doing that isn't proper weight loss. Nor is is sustainable, healthy or realistic. Part of this is taking care of my body, not punishing it within an inch of its life.

Anyway, sorry for the essay. Today has been

Bacon roll with butter and ketchup, coffee

WW protein bar (v. Nice. Attempted their chia and lemon biscuits and promptly binned it)

Tomato soup
Ff yogurt, raspberries, tsp honey

Grapes

Ginger, soy and chilli chicken stir fry, was yum. May have gone overboard on veg front - was meant to do 2 portiona but has done 3. Lunch and tea sorted for a few days!

WW sticky toffee bar. Was nice but very dinky.

Smotheroffive · 23/01/2019 01:02

Well done you, you have a healthy attitude to it. I didn't realistic WW was like that!! Gawd Confused

Sounds like a lot of pressure.

B. T.ss milk. Slice h.made white toast buttered and marmalade
L. Espresso with ss milk
D. Multi-seed wholemeal sandwich with thin beef slice and Stilton, rocket and spinach.
Pud. A whole bag of Percy's!!
Espresso with ss milk.
Exercise half hour fast walk (cold!)
Also, working outside after dark, cold (sure its burnt some calories too,!)

OP posts:
Lisabel · 23/01/2019 01:13

Breakfast: Porridge
Lunch: Vegetable soup with three buttered rolls
Dinner: Quorn cocktail sausages with curly fries.
Tomato soup
Binge: Caramel chocolate (lots) and Cheddar crackers!

Lisabel · 23/01/2019 01:14

Oh also some spinach so not all terrible :-P

Madein1995 · 23/01/2019 07:59

smother. I'm on WW now and it's much better. SW was a head bind for me, especially the slimmer of the week - someone always lost 3lbs so it was almost a race to lose. WW still do awards but other than that losses aren't really mentioned

Smotheroffive · 23/01/2019 19:27

The pressure must be a bit rough and off-putting, none needs that horrible almost fat-shaming, like you're not losing weight fast enough. Are the weigh-ins public!

B. 3 sm slices fruit loaf toasted with butter, mug T ss.milk
L. Individual portion tiramisu espresso ss.milk
D. Jkt pot tenderstem broccoli x4
S.! ? Hmm have my eye on a veggie curry

OP posts:
halfwitpicker · 23/01/2019 19:31

2 eggs
Small bowl Greek yog
Low sugar apple compote

An apple

Small bowl mushroom soup
A Portuguese chicken fillet
Carrot and white potato mash
A few mini roast potatoes

2 diet cokes
Loadsa water

2 bowls of homemade apple sauce

Dinner will be roasted Indian chicken and a baked sweet potato

Wine planned also.

Exercise? Went to Costco (humped loads of heavy shit around) and did 24lbs of apples into sauce so lots of elbow work.

yy558 · 23/01/2019 20:09

All the posts here are making me crave Greek yoghurt hahaha

1 egg and 1 bacon with half a hot cross bun for breakfast

Skinny Flat white

Toasted bagel with a bit of jam

2x gingerbread mini cookies

1 tea

And for dinner I'll be having a bowl of lentils.

Exercise wise I skipped the gym today and did a brisk stroll around town at lunch for about 40 mins. But I do feel guilty a bit compared to all the good people here - I don't really watch too closely what I eat but I try to eat less processed food when I'm at home for breakfast and dinner. I try to fit some gym in my lunch hours when I can because it means I get home and can catch up with house stuff and family.

Smotheroffive · 24/01/2019 00:49

I did have that yum veggie curry I had my eye on! Plus two of those stroopwaffles (not sure that's right it might have been 3 ha!)
