The troll thread I mentioned in my pp did make me consider hanging up my MN keyboard, or at least stepping back from any posters asking for support on personally emotive subjects in future.

But then along came a genuine OP needing support and her thread reminded me of mumsnet at its serious, (or silly), best.

The death of little fixing. I hope big fixing is well.

As well as imaginary sick children can be I guess. That deserves to be a ‘shocking thread’ of its own, it’s quite sick what some can come up with.

The one where the womans neighbours were weird. They didn't like the fact her family had bought house. It started with her feeling watched. Then there were things left in her garden. I can't remember what it was called.
It was spooky to read. Poster never said if she moved. Or what happened in the end, but it was spooky and concerning fo Op

Ok, do an advanced search with the keywords ‘dog basically towing’. It’s the thread about supernatural happenings, post on 16/4/17 at 11:39. I think.

Which one was the fixing lie? Not the child that had the transplant but died shortly after??

Fixing was a troll?
The poster with the weird rural neighbours, leaving shiny things and banging on doors, was a troll?

And not shocking - but where is Lou?

Oh and there was a spate at one point of stepmums who hate their stepdaughters that got a bit alarming.

One thread got deleted because the OP got outed by another poster who recognised her IRL but the basic premise of her OP was that in her opinion her DPs child lived too far away to warrant contact and she no longer wanted him to undertake a once a month journey to collect his child because it was a long journey both ways; she was having a baby, she couldn't take the baby in the car that long that regularly and she wasn't willing for her DP to undertake that journey without them because :

He should be at home with her and her baby concentrating on Their Little Family and he should give up contact with his existing DD outside of summer holidays til her child is older and just accept she lives too far away Shock

You can IMAGINE how that went down

It's gone now though.

I hated the thread where a new dad had accidentally dropped his baby. The op was treated so badly on here being accused of all sorts. I bet she left.
