They survived the confidence votes but only by 19 votes. Surely she should go now?

OP posts:
StepAwayFromGoogle · 16/01/2019 22:50

IMO she's the only person in Westminster who is actually trying to deliver on what the public voted for. Everyone else is playing politics. Corbyn in particular.

WitchesWeb · 16/01/2019 22:53

How is no deal a bargaining chip? If we left with no deal the EU would just say "Well, off you fuck, then".

No because it ND is a nightmare for everyone including the EU including them not getting the £

incywincybitofa · 16/01/2019 22:54

Leaving with a deal will cost billions
No deal will cost billions
Everyone else who has not got what they want has resigned except Theresa May and that should be respected
She has won an election and 2 no confidence votes toys still in the pram
She is following her path as a leader
She may not be my favourite but she has my utmost respect I'd vote her in over a Corby and Len Mccluskey love in

Dongdingdong · 16/01/2019 22:54

Corbyn is nothing but a self serving opportunist.

If he really cared about the Uk he would put his ambition aside and work for the good of the country. All he ever does is moan about brexit. But does he ever put his ideas across? NO he doesn’t.

This. He’s an awful, awful man who has really shown his true colours tonight IMO.

MarshaBradyo · 16/01/2019 22:57

Corbyn should have gone when there was mass exodus over him

Gobolinocat · 16/01/2019 23:00

The eu burocrats may well say, fuck off then.

Then the real people working and living in the eu who work for companies tied to us would be up in arms, the usual German car crap.. The haulage companies, any one and everyone who is tied to us would be furious.

imagine if corbyn had been calling for the meeting, corbyn had been pushing for cross party talks.

Imagine!

Gobolinocat · 16/01/2019 23:02

If corbyn had come out honestly as the brexiteer he is, gave passionate speech about it, his vision for brexit.. Softer perhaps.. The UK under labour, outside eu... He might have stormed it!

SillySallySingsSongs · 16/01/2019 23:03

As Toboas Ellwood MP has said tonight

So Jeremy Corbyn will meet with Hamas, Hezbollah and the IRA with no preconditions, but won't meet with the British Prime Minister without her agreeing to her precondition

SillySallySingsSongs · 16/01/2019 23:04
  • his precondition
Bluelady · 16/01/2019 23:04

May did NOT win an election. She has no majority. And of course people in other EU countries wouldn't be furious. Don't fall for all this crap about them needing us more than we need them.

SillySallySingsSongs · 16/01/2019 23:07

That quote was from Iain Dales twitter.

MargueritaPink · 16/01/2019 23:08

The person who comes out worst in this is Corbyn.

MargueritaPink · 16/01/2019 23:10

Corbyn is nothing but a self serving opportunist

And not even particularly good at that.

Dongdingdong · 16/01/2019 23:12

May did NOT win an election.

But she still beat Corbyn by 56 seats. The man is utterly useless.

FedUpMum40 · 16/01/2019 23:14

Can't believe they all help run our country! They are all like a bunch of kids!

incywincybitofa · 16/01/2019 23:15

May is PM its winner winner chicken dinner
She didn't get a majority but enough people and politicians United to put the Tories into power

Bluelady · 16/01/2019 23:18

Only because she bribed the DUP with £1 billion of our money. And even they didn't vote for her deal.

GoFiguire · 16/01/2019 23:20

Haven’t RTFT or any of it as a matter of fact but stop the h8 with May. It’s a nice Month. Put your anger on January when I’ve got to pay my credit card bill.

MargueritaPink · 16/01/2019 23:24

I didn't realise most labour constituency voted leave

It's not 100% accurate because it wasn't counted on a constituency basis but yes, the analysis is 60% of Labour constituencies voted to leave.

BigChocFrenzy · 16/01/2019 23:31

70% of Labour voters and 90% of Labour members support Remain
and since the ref, opinion in most of those constituencies that voted Leave has also changed to Remain

remember too, that Leave voters are mostly Tory, so those in Labour constituencies would also include Tories, who would never vote Labour

Bluelady · 16/01/2019 23:36

And, given the demographic, many who voted leave are dead now and many now eligible to vote who weren't before would vote remain.

noodlenosefraggle · 16/01/2019 23:37

If corbyn had come out honestly as the brexiteer he is, gave passionate speech about it, his vision for brexit.. Softer perhaps.. The UK under labour, outside eu... He might have stormed it!

I think you are right on that one. But he a puppet of Momentum, so they pull the strings. He wants to cling to power, so will say what they tell him to. There is no point campaigning for remain whilst also having renationalisation of industry on your manifesto, because you can't have one if you have the other. Its nonsense. He might have won if he'd campaigned on a Brexit ticket and said why he believed it rather than his mealy mouthed non acceptance of what he has been forced to say.

incywincybitofa · 16/01/2019 23:39

@Bluelady The DUP and Nigel Dodds put their interests in with the Tories and May. Call it a bribe if you want to follow flash LD gestures in parliament but she has won.
And why shouldn't those in NI benefit from the UK GDP.

puzzledlady · 16/01/2019 23:41

Better her in power than that crazy terrorist sympathiser Corbyn. I would take her, JRM or Boris Over Corbyn any day and twice on a Sunday.

Bluelady · 16/01/2019 23:43

She didn't win the election. It was a bribe. Northern Ireland is part of the UK.
