I started today with really dark brown hair.
I went to salon and asked for caramel balayage.
This is how I've ended up..
It's awful isn't it?

Dark to caramel blonde might take a bit of time. Go back and say you aren't happy and they can have another go

applepineapple · 15/01/2019 19:09

Did they use a toner on it at all or is the result from bleach only?

mcmooberry · 15/01/2019 19:11

I like it. And I'm not just saying that.

needanappp · 15/01/2019 19:11

Considering you started dark brown your hair has lifted really well. Try a toner shampoo or pop a toner on yourself, it should get rid of some of the redder tones.

TedAndLola · 15/01/2019 19:12

It looks lovely to me.

Laiste · 15/01/2019 19:12

Can you do another pic?

Your hair in that one looks ok to me. Just looks like dark blonde hair which needs brushing. Not being rude, just that if we can't see what you mean we can't advise Flowers

OneStepSideways · 15/01/2019 19:12

It's not very well blended and a bit orangey in places, I'd ask them to bring some dark tones down so the roots don't contrast too much, and correct the orange tinge. When my balayage went wrong it took 2 extra sessions to fix it (free of charge).

Deadsouls · 15/01/2019 19:14

I think it's a nice colour, maybe more peach in places than caramel. Defo not awful

Ohnonotuagain · 15/01/2019 19:15

It's difficult to see what the balyage really looks like in that pic. FWIW, I like the colour and alao agree that it's difficult to go from dark to any decent blonde in one go.

SagelyNodding · 15/01/2019 19:15

I really like it! It would be helpful to see a better photo though...

Cheerbear23 · 15/01/2019 19:15

Does it blend into the dark well? If it does I think it looks ok!

Aquamarine1029 · 15/01/2019 19:15

It's not awful, but it definitely needs to be re-toned. It's very brassy.

Theconifers25 · 15/01/2019 19:23

Oh I like it! The orange bits make it look interesting and edgy

MorningsEleven · 15/01/2019 19:24

It's impossible to tell from that picture

Not clear from pic, but looks more blonde / peach than “caramel”.

ImNotKitten · 15/01/2019 19:28

Need another pic really, it doesn’t look bad to me?

CarrieBlu · 15/01/2019 19:29

My hair was lifted from being black to the sort of colour you’ve got - it’s a difficult thing to get right. It doesn’t look too bad to me, although a better photo is definitely needed.

PointlessUsername · 15/01/2019 19:30

Looks nice.

Funkyslippers · 15/01/2019 19:32

Doesn't look much like caramel to me!

GreyHare · 15/01/2019 19:33

Very hard to tell from that small picture, one of the full back would be better, but it looks like there is a random ginger patch in middle of your picture.

CatnissEverdene · 15/01/2019 19:34

I think it's a good result from dark brown.

DayManChampionOfTheSun · 15/01/2019 19:34

Do you have a pic of the full balayage?

Mayrhofen · 15/01/2019 19:36

I think the blonde is lovely, you just need the orange solider sorting.its not bayage though.

Tiredeyes21 · 15/01/2019 19:36

I have really dark brown hair and I wasted a caramel balayage as well, mine was more ginger than Carmel and they recommended coming back a second time as it does take a while for it to take. Lots of washes later the colour is a lot better....
