Have you seen the new Gillette advert?

It's in line with the #metoo movement and it's just brilliant.

Reaction online is depressing though. It has pissed Piers Morgan off royally though, so that's excellent. Poor little snowflake. Offended at an advert Grin

Pumper who do you think it is that sits handcuffed to violent men and forces then into a jail cell ? These men would on the face of it appear to be doing a tremendous amount to stop male violence ? This silly idea that men have no real interest in stopping male violence is absurd overlooking centuries of civilization, if only we'd had Gillette to lecture men how different history would be. No one seriously believes this nonsense surely.

Excellent post Pumper.

Coz here's the thing ... unacceptable behaviour which harms others (men and women) has to end. The fact it's been happening since the year dot is irrelevant. Women can try and influence a change in behaviour and I see great examples of this when I watch mums (and dads) bringing up their boys to be good men.

But ultimately we need men to call out crap behaviour when they see it.

Example - bunch of men chatting and a young woman walks past. One or two remark to each other a sexual comment on her appearance. Don't laugh/join in/hold awkward silence. Tell them to stop being a dick, that's someone's daughter/wife etc.

Small changes like this are where every man can and should start.
