I think I have a cf

So we live in a cul de sac and facing the road is our driveway and side garden. Front door is on the other side. For a few weeks I’ve been noticing the same car driving up blocking the dropped kerb for our drive and a lady getting out and having a fag sitting on our garden wall.
That’s fine, I haven’t needed to go out when she’s been there. Her habit isn’t affecting me.
This week I was picking up the dogs mess and noticed that there’s tons of fag butts in my garden. She’s obviously just been slinging them over the fence.
Today I waited till she arrived and I went out to her to ask her to take her rubbish with her and not throw them in my garden. She told me to get fucked and she will do what she likes.
I didn’t really have any comeback for that so scuttled back inside.
Being both a coward and a nosy bitch I jotted down her car reg. Lo and behold the DVLA website says it’s not mot’d.
WIBU to tip off whoever enforces those things next time I spot her? She’s pretty regular time wise.

Set up a garden sprinkler to come on just as she sits down and make sure it goes slightly over the wall. Definitely report her lack of MOT

A suggestion: Next time you see her, ask her really nicely not to be abusive to you again in response to your reasonable request to remove the fag ends and not to do it again. If she fails to respond, tell her it breaks your heart to do it, but you're gonna have to report her vehicle via your significant other, who just happens to work for the DVLA!
Why don't you add that you know it isn't MOT'd, but weren't going to take action if she was civil to you, etc, etc! That'll teach her to fart in church, as my uncle would say!

Reporting her car will do nothing there is a car on the street outside my flat that's got no MOT and its been there for over a month and I dont even know how many police cars have been past it. But report it to 101 and they will then have it on their radar. Just put something on the wall even just throwing a bucket of water on it to make it wet

What a nasty piece of bullying work she is! I agree with everyone else on here - definitely report her, she obviously thinks she can do what she likes even if that involves putting other people’s lives at risk. You have no option but to report her. Do feel sorry for you though - what a rotten situation. But just keep thinking her uninsured, unroadworthy car could cause an accident involving a child.

Yes, as others have said; without an MOT a car cannot be taxed. Without tax a car cannot be insured. She is driving an illegal vehicle. If she crashed into you, you would have to pay out as she has no insurance! A fine might make her think twice about her attitude!

Well done your MIL, she’s a wise woman. CFs prey on other people’s politeness, you need to outCF a CF to stop them usually. But few people have the guts to do so.

OurMaud - I really believe that "what goes around comes around"......fate, the gods, the planets, the Threefold Law, or whatever it always has a way of dishing out (sometimes peculiar) justice!

After all,if she's a chain smoker maybe she'll get a come-uppance that really no-one deserves? My father was a terrific chain smoker and then at 66 had a massive spontaneous lung haemorrhage, walking up the stairs, without warning. He was dead in seconds. He didn't deserve that but that's life (and death) for you.
