I'll start.

Céline Dion - Fly

Bloody hell, what a song. I only just discovered it today. The feel of the song and the lyrics are out of this world. Truly amazing. And extremely comforting if you've been through a child loss. Listen if you have the time Thanks

On a lighter note, Let's here it for the boy - Deniece Williams Grin

Distant Sun by Crowded house - seven worlds collide. Love it love it. Wanted it as our first dance!

IamFrauBlucher · 13/01/2019 22:36

@alibongo5 @ALittleCrisp

I've set up a collaborative playlist with just "Lets hear it for the boy"

It's called MN - The underrated

Everyone can add to it if you're on Spotify

BriocheBriocheBrioche · 13/01/2019 22:37

Soldier Side by System of a Down

thesnailandthewhale · 13/01/2019 22:38

Private Universe - Crowded House

DimProblem · 13/01/2019 22:39

Somewhere in my heart - Aztec Camera
Anchorage - Michelle Shocked
Late Night Grand Hotel - Nancy Griffith
Damn I wish I was your lover - Sophie B Hawkins
Galveston- Glen Campbell

Only ever hear them on my own playlist but they all make me smile.

Ginsodden · 13/01/2019 22:40

One of my fave songs is colour me grey by the family cat. They were obscure in the 90s and don’t exist anymore. P J Harvey did backing vocals. Beautiful track.

Mammyloveswine · 13/01/2019 22:41

Not very upbeat but cancer by my chemical romance makes me so emotional... My mam beat breast cancer last year and it just breaks me.

Also by mcr "I don't love you"

Clawdy · 13/01/2019 22:41

"The rain, the park and other things" - The Cowsills. Nobody else seems to have heard of it!

IamFrauBlucher · 13/01/2019 22:43

@trooth - have you already added? GrinGrinGrin

ddodprob · 13/01/2019 22:43

Oh god @frituby - I was trying to sing the dinasair song to dh over Christmas (he’s a couple of years younger than me and obviously thought I was nuts)

Mammyloveswine · 13/01/2019 22:44

Also "Tammy wynette" no charge... makes me sob.. love a good country song!

ddodprob · 13/01/2019 22:44

@iamfrau that’s fab - well done for setting that up

MawkishTwaddle · 13/01/2019 22:46

Rush Hour by Jane Wiedlin is a great shout.

I love If She Knew What She Wants by The Bangles and Union City Blue by Blondie, too.

Em308 · 13/01/2019 22:46

No Cheap Thrill - Suzanne Vega

alibongo5 · 13/01/2019 22:48

Sophisticatedsarcasm · 13/01/2019 22:49

Seasons of love.... I first heard it on glee but know it’s from rent.... absolutley love it.
Palo santo - years and years
Calling all angels - train

Quietrebel · 13/01/2019 22:51

Lucky Man- The Verve

IamFrauBlucher · 13/01/2019 22:52

Some fast workers here...Grin

Em308 · 13/01/2019 22:52

Pretty much anything by Newton Faulkner, love him.

IamFrauBlucher · 13/01/2019 22:56

I've added:
Kiss me - Stephen Tintin Duffy
Never knew a girl like you before - Edwin Collins
This town ain't big enough for the both of us - Sparks

Absolutely underrated classics to me!

CoughLaughFart · 13/01/2019 22:57

‘Heart of Stone’ by Dave Stewart. It sounds both like an amazing 70s track and yet utterly timeless at the same time:

Kindlethefourth · 13/01/2019 22:58

I agree with You Can Finally Meet my Mom by Train.

The most underrated (by the music industry rather than fans) songs are anything by Paul Heaton. Old Red Eyes. Good as Gold. Build. I'll Sail this Ship. Don't Marry Her. Bittersweet poetry set to music.

trooth · 13/01/2019 22:59

@IamFrauBlucher yep. My secret identity has been revealed!

CoughLaughFart · 13/01/2019 22:59

Kiss me - Stephen Tintin Duffy

Hell yeah! Played five times a day every day when I did my work experience far too many years back to remember 😁

Rush Hour by Jane Wiedlin is a great shout. I love If She Knew What She Wants by The Bangles and Union City Blue by Blondie, too.

All amazing choices 👍
