For me it's cheese! Any kind of cheese!!!! I am in LOVE with CHEESE!!! Cream cheese, cheddar cheese, brie, mozzarella, provolone, you get the idea! Grin

However, I have a friend tell me that she thought it was disgusting! Shock even though she relished ketchup sandwiches! Blergh!

I knew another guy who could simply eat a raw onion like an apple, no problem! My autist mind thought, "I wonder if he will be a serial killer one day?" I know, I'm weird! HA!

What one food do you enjoy tremendously on it's own, but according to some people, it makes them want to gag?

Cauliflower. I bloody love cauliflower cooked or raw. Am I the only person who has cauliflower and chips? I didn't have cauliflower today (was invited to friends for dinner). Im off to get some frozen cauli to nibble on. I won't sleep otherwise.

Raw mince
Raw salmon fillet (I mean, it’s basically uncut sashimi!)

BrylcreamBeret · 09/01/2019 23:53

Thank you lovely people for clearing something up I've wondered about for years! A woman who volunteered in the same place as me, (elderly with a wicked sense of humour, it's relevant) told me she preferred a bowl of raw mushrooms to a bowl of popcorn when watching films/TV and I always thought she was pulling my pisser.

My gravy in a cup, on its own ofc.

MissLanesAmericanCousin · 09/01/2019 23:53

Some of these are seriously FREAKING me OUT!!!!

I'm looking at you, @Pollypopit!!! Are you sure you're name isn't on a list somewhere?!!! Wink

Seriously, though, this is great fun! Keep them coming!

EXCEPT for the lettuce, zen1, seriously, why? It tastes of nothing! Confused Wink

Anything pickled, I’m with the PP using a long handled teaspoon in the Branson jar. Raw mushrooms, raw swede, raw broccoli stems, raw Brussels sprouts. Cheese. Ketchup and salad cream (separately, I’m not an animal).

Jux · 09/01/2019 23:56

Vinegar. I am more than capable of drinking a small glass of neat vinegar. I used to prefer red wine vinegar, but I think balsamic has supplanted it.

I've been drinking the odd glass of vinegar since I was a child.

Cheeeeislifenow · 09/01/2019 23:56

Anchovies!!

Donkdonkgoo · 09/01/2019 23:57

Thunder raw mince 😳😷 is that safe? What type of mince

minipie · 09/01/2019 23:57

Actually romaine lettuce on its own is really nice. Not other kinds

Mozzarella. I will happily eat an entire ball of it.

MorningsEleven · 09/01/2019 23:57

@thegardenfairy
There's a chippy in Edinburgh called Alba d'Oro that does garlic cauliflower. Battered, deep fried cauliflower smothered in garlic butter. I'd sell my children for it.

SluggishSnail · 09/01/2019 23:59

Should you eat frozen prawns? I genuinely have no idea?

That was me. It was always the pink ones which are already cooked, then frozen (not the grey ones).

It's OK, lovely even :) Just not to most peoples taste.

Funnily enough, DD who I was pregnant with when it all started likes them too. Even as a tiny child, she'd want them (15 now and still likes a frozen prawn).

chemenger · 10/01/2019 00:01

MorningsEleven anything from that chip shop is good, but I agree the cauliflower is special. Their pasta is amazing as well.

Donkdonkgoo · 10/01/2019 00:03

Ovaltine dry from on the spoon .... tastes like maltesers

WardrobeInCrisis · 10/01/2019 00:03

@DinoDave you are my gravy twin!

ThunderInMyHeart · 10/01/2019 00:04

@donkdonkgoo - bog standard Waitrose essentials mince. Never made me feel remotely ill. I eat it within a day or two of buying, and always from a new/sealed packet. It’s just tartare!

delboysskinandblister · 10/01/2019 00:05
