To know it's all gone wrong night before 12 week scan?

missymoon · 09/01/2019 17:33

I've had such a good gut feeling this entire pregnancy. Now my 12 week scan is tomorrow and I feel so numb because I just know the baby's dead. I know it's gone wrong. I can just sense it. All the threads I've read about mmc say that they just knew and that's exactly how I feel. The day before my scan. What a sick joke :( can these feelings ever be wrong? Sorry I know it doesn't belong here but posting for traffic I need answers or I'm going to do nothing other than cry all night. This can't be happening.

What a lovely lovely thread.
Congrats OP. So very pleased to see your news Flowers

Pobblit · 10/01/2019 21:25

Wonderful news Flowers

I suffer from anxiety, it can feel so real.

jewllerybox · 10/01/2019 21:30

This is amazing and has made my day. It is like one of those films where someone saves the day and everyone stands up and hugs and claps. Congratulations OP, although I knew it would be fine, but then I'm a bit smug!

Mousewithascarf · 10/01/2019 21:35

That’s wonderful news 👍🏻. So happy for you missy

Justaboy · 10/01/2019 23:52

I think MIssy Moon and early night is called for, you and babe need sleep;).

You don't that much of that when the little 'un is born and is demanding his/her grub at 2 am like they are wont to:!.

MulticolourMophead · 11/01/2019 00:02

Congratulations! And best wishes for the future. Here's hoping you're getting some sleep right now (better take my own advice).

Graphista · 11/01/2019 06:00

WardrobeInCrisis · 11/01/2019 08:58

Congratulations ☺️ So pleased all was well!

BuntyCollocks · 11/01/2019 09:21

So glad for you. PLEASE don’t buy a home
Doppler. They’re so easy for untrained people to mistake mums heartbeat for babies and that’s where problems come in.

Congratulations.

Handprints2018 · 11/01/2019 09:49

Agreeing with pp, and i had a doppler. Unless you are trained you can mistake heartbeats and they just act as a crutch for anxiety.

Justaboy · 11/01/2019 11:03

So glad for you. PLEASE don’t buy a home
Doppler

Second that. Many years ago I used to work in a TV shop as a joke we used to write on the repair ticket thats 1/6 pence for hitting the TV to make it work, and 5 guineas for knowing WHERE to hit it!

Much the same here you can have the best diagonistic equipment going but if you don't know how to drive it properley or worse still interpret the results, then it's more trouble causing than what its worth. If you do have a bit of an anxiety stress problem then theres better ways of helping that then buying equipment that will make you stress more!.

And thats a fact!!

Freezingheart · 11/01/2019 13:49

I knew someone who bought a Doppler. She was distraught when she couldn’t find ger baby’s heart and convinced herself the worst had happened even tho she could still feel the baby actively moving in her over a sustained time (disclaimer - baby is now a very healthy 10 yo!). When she couldn’t find her own heart beat she then even managed to convince herself that she too was on the brink of death when clearly she wasn’t and even took herself to a+e to get herself checked out. Blush She later blamed her madness on hormones Smile Point is - unless you are trained it actually may make your anxiety much worse which isn’t helpful either for you or baby.
