Stub your toe. Stubbed little toe earlier on the table leg. Of course no shoes or slippers on to cushion the blow. Air very quickly turned blue Blush followed by toe turning a lovely shade of bluey/purple. Nice 9 hour shift later and it is bloody agony.

Stubbing toe, breaking it and dislocating the fucker, it poked out at a nice right angle.

Actually, nerve pain. That’s pretty bad.

flyingspaghettimonster · 10/01/2019 18:12

Stubbing toes are certainly up there for instant pain. I impaled my foot on a 3 inch blunt tipped metal stand for my dollhouse tv as a kid, and that hurt less than stepping on a plug or stubbing a toe, even though it went right in several inches.

Most painful for me was active labour with no pain meds, ripping everything... 4th degree tear. That was 40 minutes of pure raw agony.

Gall bladder attacks are up there, along with really bad cystitis and a personal best... junping in my bed when wrapping presents and catching my toe inside spring loaded scissors I left open on the bed. Damn near snipped my pinkie toe off. In the plus side, it doesn't hurt when i stub that toe anymore as i cut the nerve 🤣

NoRoomForALittleOne · 10/01/2019 18:13

I’ll see your stubbed toe and raise you having part of my spine, skull and brain removed then only getting paracetamol for pain relief in ITU. Made giving birth look like a walk in the park.

Saggingninja · 10/01/2019 18:13

Lego is painful

To think this is one of the most painful things you can do.

Someone upthread mentioned pulling a nose hair: imagine that multiplied by a hundred. Many years ago I had reconstructive rhinoplasty, and had 'packing' put up my nose to hold the passages open. Three days later, when the scabs had nicely formed, a nurse had to pull the packing material out of my nostrils. It was very hard not to scream, as all the scabs and nose hairs got ripped out by the 'magic trick' of pulling yards & yards of 'ribbon' from my nose as my eyes streamed, and I tried not to swear loudly.

TheEmmaDilemma · 10/01/2019 18:18

Having your arm surgically numbed. Then bringing it back to life.

Was worse than my ICU stay.

Diva66 · 10/01/2019 18:19

Having a camera threaded up my nose, then down into my throat to check my vocal chords were working OK.

Xxxparisxxx · 10/01/2019 18:19

Ouch!

TigerTooth · 10/01/2019 18:19

Tongue stuck to a frosty Strawberry Mivvi in a traffic jam c1984. Dad singeing tongue whilst trying to melt said mivvi with lighter...

SilkenTofu · 10/01/2019 18:21

The worst pain I have ever experienced was when I started wrapping Christmas presents with fancy paper that cost a fortune. The first present I wrapped my finger basically got sliced in half from the paper cut. It was awful.

PLEASE PLEASE -tell me that's not real!

Mymomsbetterthanyomom · 10/01/2019 18:22

Toes!Yes,absolute agony.

But the worst for me was after my 3rd csection. Nurse hooked up my pain pump wrong, chose a spinal instead of epidural and spinal wears off quickly, but no one noticed she hooked it up wrong for 6 hours. When my mom brought our older kids in,I thought they where telling me goodbye because I was dying.😭😭😭

Exmouthlady · 10/01/2019 18:25

Kidney stones. Not one but both kidneys. At the same time!!

Hi lateral frozen shoulders. Why they call them frozen I don't know as it's agonising. But like the kidneys stones I had to have it in both shoulders. At the same time.

Symmetry going on with me I think!!

Greenglassteacup · 10/01/2019 18:27

Has anyone said dry socket yet? Fucking hell, it was like child birth of the face only worse

LouH1981 · 10/01/2019 18:32

I see your stubbed toe and raise you kneeling down quickly on to a tent peg...I literally went dizzy with pain. Was at a friends house so couldn’t even turn the air blue 😩

Letmeoff · 10/01/2019 18:34

Dry root on two teeth - one upper, one lower

Abscess

Gallstones

Tumour on spinal cord

Child birth with baby back to your back a mere 4 or 5 by comparison

brighteyeowl17 · 10/01/2019 18:41

Paper cut! Or more specifically sifting a whole ream and cutting with every. Single. One.

tillytoodles1 · 10/01/2019 18:41

Scraping your bare arm on a pebble-dashed garage, having colic as an adult, But the worse pain ever was tripping up. breaking my leg and kneecap.

Botanica · 10/01/2019 18:46

Three our of four dry sockets when I had my wisdom teeth extracted.

There are no words.

(And I consider myself to have quite a high pain threshold...)

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 10/01/2019 18:47

I once zoodle chef’d my thumb and thumbnail whilst making courgetti. Which is a problem because we’re vegetarian and there was definitely some meat in that meal. 🤢

Botanica · 10/01/2019 18:47

Cross posted - a few votes now for dry socket.

It's making me sick and dizzy even remembering it...

Kelp23 · 10/01/2019 18:48

Falling off a ladder, landing hard on one bare foot and damaging all tendons

Or

Having your mum about the car boot on your head

woodforwood · 10/01/2019 18:49

@ladybunker that’s made me feel a bit sick, your poor Mum!

LivingOnAnIsland · 10/01/2019 18:49

Has anyone mentioned treading on carpet gripper with bare feet?

TimetoChange2017 · 10/01/2019 18:52

Acute pancreatitis. Indescribable. Dislocating a kneecap didn't even register on the same scale.

But.....when you cut your fingernail wrong and the skin comes off down the side of the nail....that's pretty bad too Grin
