Stub your toe. Stubbed little toe earlier on the table leg. Of course no shoes or slippers on to cushion the blow. Air very quickly turned blue Blush followed by toe turning a lovely shade of bluey/purple. Nice 9 hour shift later and it is bloody agony.

Jabbing your eyeball accidentally with the end of a biro. The pain was so bad I could barely breathe.

Looneytune253 · 10/01/2019 17:42

A baby grabbing/twisting or biting your nipple. No contest

yorkrose · 10/01/2019 17:42

Falling/sitting in a bed of roses. Husband thoroughly enjoyed pulling the thorns out!

Nats1606 · 10/01/2019 17:42

Getting your lip trapped between a ‘snap on’ bottle little and the rim of the bottle....

GallicosCats · 10/01/2019 17:42

Ear infection, just about to explode. Or tooth abscess. Even labour didn't come close.

Bumping my head on the corner of a cupboard door or knocking a shin, however, is painful but not agonising - it tends to turn me into a murderous psychopath for about two minutes.

BloominMarvelous · 10/01/2019 17:46

Showing off to my bf when I was 10 by trying to move a manhole cover that was leaning against a shed, it fell flat on my big toe. Mum's idea of first aid was to put a hot water bottle on it (she'd misread the first aid book). My poor toe did survive but I didn't sleep for 2 weeks because of the pain and had to wear my friends granny's shoe at school because that was the only shoe we could find to go over my monster foot.......poor toe has been unlucky ever since.

Alexis43 · 10/01/2019 17:46

I broke one of my big toes recently- it didn't heal properly/rebroke it, and it is now causing me problems. You should consider getting your toe x-rayed asap.

Yogafanatic · 10/01/2019 17:46

Tripping over a tiny piece of sticking up carpet breaking elbow and dislocating shoulder.

woodforwood · 10/01/2019 17:47

Standing on a small perfume funnel. I will never forget the noise it made as it punched a hole through the bottom of my foot Envy- not envy

I am going to stop reading this now, simply can't stand it!

Wanted to come on with some advice for those with sinusitis though. I suffered through this for years, really suffered, even taking tablets for it I was unable to function. Then I realised I was tending to find myself in a hot bath and that made me feel better, I took to steaming my face, mainly my nose, for a few minutes each day and it was the best thing I ever did, I now have not had an attack for a few years, but I still will not be without the relevant tablets when we go on holiday, the idea of it flaring up and having no way to stop the pain is utterly terrifying!

LucyLocket64 · 10/01/2019 17:50

Dr removing my big toenail with a pair of pliers. He had anesthésided it beforehand but he had forgotten to use a tourniquet. So my whole toenail was ripped out in one go........🙁

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 10/01/2019 17:55

DH agrees that, yes, stubbing your toe is painful, but he claims having his brain tumour removed, via his nostril, definitely stung a bit 😂. Yes, he was under anaesthetic, but he says it was hurty for quite a while afterwards. Men, eh? He still can’t smell anything five years later.

Ps that was definitely lighthearted.....he’s at the stage where he can laugh about it now. 🙂

Jonesy78 · 10/01/2019 17:59

I'll raise you yet again - trapping your thumb in a car door where the door shuts completely and driver doesn't realise and activates the central locking.... WTF!!! Fractured thumb, surgery and a cartoon like bandage around the thumb for weeks while it healed.....

Attempting to get the plastic off a cucumber with a carving knife and nearly cutting your little finger off in the process. Carnage. Who knew little fingers bled so much...

Kirstyhewlett2018 · 10/01/2019 18:03

An ear infection that won’t go away! 9 years on still got the flaming thing! Confused

Stapling your own finger with one of those big wall stapler thingys.

takemetomars · 10/01/2019 18:05

Labour plus gall bladder pain tops anything else, I would rather die than endure that

Liketoshop · 10/01/2019 18:05

PickAChew my first thought was treading on lego bare foot! Lego plug? OMG
But stubbing bare toes is sickening, dental abscess I'm sad to say could trump it all, just short of cholecystitis (gall stones flare up)

lalafafa · 10/01/2019 18:07

flicking your hair over and bashing your head on the sink.

Fairyhill · 10/01/2019 18:10
